I think the Czechs have us beat on the hating vegetables thing...was watching a show about street food and in Prague it was nothing but bread and meat everywhere. In before "kolaches aren't Czech" Drive a little farther and go to Greens Sausage House in Zabcikville (East of Temple on Hwy 53). That crap they sell in West on 35 is for tourists passing through. If you want to eat brisket at BBQ joint, don't come to Southeast TX....from what I can tell, none of the places can cook brisket. They all slop it with sauce and it has no flavor. Tastes like they cooked it in an oven and poured BBQ sauce on it. Stick to gumbo and BBQ craps in that area. |

You're welcome but we do expect you to assimilate.
A Philly Cheese steak will disappoint you here. Mexican food, BBQ brisket and ribs will more than make up for it. We don't close school for opening day of deer season. Ground hog day doesn't get a lot of play here. The deer will be smaller, although very tasty. Hunting over corn is not baiting. Something I didn't realize when I moved to PA long ago, we don't stop on the on ramp if traffic is coming. |
