In the shop I had no problem with keeping both eyes open. That's how I've shot my whole life so keeping both eyes open was GTG.

Have you shot with one? I feel like I'm looking through a peephole.

The TA-33 ain't bad as long as you keep both eyes open and use the Binden Aiming System.

But if your eyes don't work like that (a small percentage of the population), then the magnification is going to make it hard to find moving targets up close like any scope.

Yeah, I have a TA-33 green horseshoe on one gun.  It is a bit narrow in FOV, but nice and clear.

Using Binden aiming, you see clearly through the left eye, with reticle sort of like ghosted in the left eye view.  Then once you stop on the target, focus goes to right eye and you see the target through the scope.  It's pretty neat.

I just bought a like new Aimpoint CompM2 with ARD for $250.

I didn't replace an Eotech, I replaced a Vortex Strikefire, which still works fine and is moving to a rifle I'm building for my wife which will probably get shot once and then put in the safe for the rest of it's life.
