Found a M96 that had suffered mightily at hands of Bubba. The barrel was cut at 18.5", drilled & tapped with Weaver bases included, the bolt hand was replaced so that it fit under a scope, and that stock
 . Lawd, that stock.  The joke at the LGS was that it wasn't a Mannlicher but a WindowLicker stock. 
Will promptly pitch that wooden atrocity and put on a Choate synthetic plus a Nikon 3x9 40mm BuckMaster. Pix to follow. |

I just bought my son an M&P 40, will probably be buying one for my daughter later this week. She was going to get a Sig 226, but the M&P seems like a better fit for a southpaw.
