My optics were received at the end of Feb and 1st week of Mar. I received a call from L3 after an email requesting an update. He told me both of my checks are going out tomorrow 4/14/16.

I have a 551 that no longer has the serial# sticker. Wonder if I could send it back.
Do they offer a repair/upgrade option instead of refund? Is it possible to retro fit a 551 into a 552? N to AA battery? |

Seems like the process is speeding up. I guess the initial flood of requests slowed down. I sent mine in on the 1st, still waiting for an e-mail confirmation that they received them.

Got mine back for a 512. I sent them the purchase price, then told them my state tax, plus $15 shipping. That's what the check is for.

And by then, people were receiving checks, so this past Friday (2/19), I mailed the two packages (one per return authorization). Interestingly, the second approval email contained an attachment—essentially a PDF listing the same details in my original request, which was also copied in the email itself. So I printed out both emails AND that one attachment. One box went back with just a copy of the email approval, the other had the email and the PDF. The packages should arrive in Ann Arbor tomorrow. Then the wait starts. Both checks arrived today, exactly 2 months after I dropped off the boxes at the post office. Whole situation is a damned shame, and I hope anyone culpable in the coverup or in falsifying records is identified and held accountable. But I at least appreciate that they've responded to us customers--at last--without prolonged BS. |

Got my check yesterday. They received and promptly lost track of mine on 12/22/15. It's taken numerous emails and phone calls to get my check the last couple of months. They had no record of receiving but since I had a refund confirmation email from them and tracking from USPS they honored the refund. I guess it worked out to my advantage in a way because they refunded me for my magnifier since they both approved the refund confirmation then lost the sight/magnifier.
I got a check for a little over $1100 I think. I don't remember the exact amount. |
