Recently I've considered going back to the Beretta platform for AIWB carry and general shooting. I'm bored of glocks and have lost the "passion" of shooting and think a nice metal TDA gun would fix that. I've always liked berettas and I shoot them decent enough. Sigs do not fit my hands and not a huge fan of CZ. I found a 92G NIB fo r $500 out the door and am strongly considering replacing my G17 with one...

Am I crazy?

"bored of Glocks"?

Yeah, sewing machine reliability and easy availability of parts and magazines bore the shit out of me, too.

I think I'll carry a Luger.

sorry...not possible for me to talk you out of a Beretta...

However....I do suggest you buy at least 2.

You should buy it, but then send it to me.  It's a win-win!  You get to buy it, but you won't have the hassle of owning it!

I still haven't foresaken my Glocks, but this is when I want to carry a "Gentleman's Gun."

Actually...yes that is the reason. And everyone has one. Also the Beretta would fit all those details as well. I forget that this is a hobby and lifestyle. Of course a Glock is more practical. A minivan is more practical than an SUV, but doesn't make it any worse.

Well...  I carry a gun as a tool rather than as a fashion accessory.   My G19 works, I know it will fire should I have to pull the trigger.  That level of confidence is never boring to me.

Now, range toys?  Shiny toys to show off to friends and tinker with?  Buy whatever floats your boat.

CCW/EDC?  Hell no.  Find what works, what you're confident in, and never change it.

I'm gonna side with the guys that said Wislon Combat 92G! A 92A1 with some Wilson Upgrades would fit the bill as well.

You know, I find the Beretta 92 to be big, clunky, not terribly aesthetically pleasing, with an only decent trigger...

But damn if I don't shoot it well. And it just fits my hand nicely.

Do it.

Someone say Wilson? Took mine out for the first time. 15 rounds, 15 yards. The one flyer is my trademark....always have one. Add in the fact I can't see shit and am a lefty. But there are 14 there almost through one ragged hole. Damn she sure is a sweet shooting gun.

Indeed. Beretta's are easy to shoot, very accurate and much better looking than any Glock.

Beretta opened a new manufacturing facility in Gallatin, but maintains offices in Maryland.

So, all y'all gonna buy a gun from Maryland ?

Okay.  Don't buy a Beretta 92G.  Are you crazy?  Do you want people to make fun of you?  Do you like other Italian stuff?  Buy American, built and sold by Americans, like an American.

Most Beretta handguns sold here are made here.

They've moved operations from Maryland to Tennessee, I believe.

Get rid of a Glock and replace it with a Beretta? Now that's common sense gun (collection) control that I can get behind. In fact I recently did just that.
And $500 OTD for a NIB 92G is something you should do even if you keep and carry the Glock.

LPA's. I got them a long time ago, on sale from CDNN of all places.

I believe Midway carries them.
