Recently I've considered going back to the Beretta platform for AIWB carry and general shooting. I'm bored of glocks and have lost the "passion" of shooting and think a nice metal TDA gun would fix that. I've always liked berettas and I shoot them decent enough. Sigs do not fit my hands and not a huge fan of CZ. I found a 92G NIB fo r $500 out the door and am strongly considering replacing my G17 with one...
Am I crazy?

Nope. If it motivates you to train, go for it.
There is much you can do to a Beretta to improve the trigger, BTW. The new Wilson trigger kit is extremely effective. My
Brig Tac has the trigger kit in it and it's splendid. I put the part in my gen 1 Elite where I've done some careful polishing of parts and it's even better in that gun so I'm ordering another one today.
The 92 is a damn good gun, especially in G configuration.
I don't like Glocks. I can use one well enough, but I use other handguns better. I find I like shooting other handguns better and when I'm shooting them I'm more motivated to go out and practice. Plus I like having a hammer I can block when I reholster. (I do have a pre-production tester and I have two more on order in case I want to use my Glocks AIWB)
When it comes to putting a bullet where I want one on demand, I'm better at accomplishing that with guns other than a Glock of any flavor because other guns fit me better...and the guns I carry are just as reliable and durable as the best guns Glock can put out. I lose nothing, but gain motivation and performance. Win/win.
