I remember from the books that Obi-wan chose to approach Han Solo because of Chewbacca. He knew that wookiees were inherently good people and a guy who had a wookiee co-pilot would have to be alright.

Marvel Thor or Norse mythology Thor? Norse mythology Thor can't even lift the hammer. He has a belt that gives him the strength to do so. If Marvel Thor than you have to be worthy to lift the hammer, though worthiness and how to be such is undefined.
