Unfortunately, the CMP website isn't exactly up-to-date with info.

They need to attach it to one of his polesmoker friendly bills.

It's attached to the military budget. It could actually pass.

I may just fart. It couldn't have have come at a worse time. He's on such an anti gun rampage, I don't see him supporting anything we want. |
|
Oh really.
Good for congress. If they do this, I'm going to have to get a pair of them. |
|
I'm going to put some money aside. If it passes I'm going to try to give a 1911 a good home. If it doesn't pass I'm going to spree buy beer. I win either way.

I hope it signs this. Not like the CMP will sell me any but I hope it signs it just the same.

I know they are all most likely rattle trap pieces of shit, but I would FO so hard on a CMP 1911.

FBHO has already been drumming that these war relics are "essentially untraceable and favored by criminals."

The Senate voted 73-26 to end debate on the bill and thwart a filibuster on Tuesday, with 21 Democrats breaking ranks to join the Republican majority. The Hill reports the lone Republican "nay” came from Senator Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) of Kentucky, while Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) of Florida missed the vote. Both of these Senators are currently running for President. Shows to go you Rand Paul and Marco Rubio don't really give a shit about your 2nd rights. |

Will anyone be able to order, or would one need the NRA/shooting course and club membership?

Meh. They will be overpriced, ratty and insanely sought after. I remember something at the time stating none of them were rebuilt since they were being phased out.

i remember hearing in another thread (so take it with a grain of salt) the senate version of the bill gave the CMP authority to sell all types of military surplus pistols, not just 1911s but m9s and more. anybody know which version is in the revised version of the bill?
eta: congress.gov's page for the bill hasn't been updated yet... |

My supervisor has been begging me to order one for him if it passes. Yeah, he doesn't understand the expression "straw purchase" very well. I told him I'd gladly help him put his documentation together, he already has all requirements covered.
