Hopkins is going to get a ton of targets this year. I've got Martin on a full PPR roster and I don't think I trust him enough for a week one start.

With PPR, my rule is "when in doubt, go WR".

You're regretting taking Antonio Brown with your first pick in PPR, why? He was the highest point man outside of quarterbacks last year and will easily be in the top 3 this year if he can stay away from the injury bug.

Dummies were drafting qb in rounds 1-4. I've got rb forever.

I took him #1 overall instead of Bell/Lacey/AP.  Tried to be too cute.

I really didn't like having #1 pick this year when running mock drafts.

Here is my second league. 12 team, Yahoo Standard, 0 PPR. I had 8th round draft pick and also had a trade from last year where I gave my 3rd draft pick for a 5th round.

QB: Ryan Tannehill Mia - QB
WR: Keenan Allen SD - WR
WR: Roddy White Atl - WR
WR: DeSean Jackson Was - WR
RB: C.J. Anderson Den - RB
RB: Matt Forte Chi - RB
TE: Travis Kelce KC - TE
FX: Mark Ingram NO - RB

BN: Mike Wallace Min - WR
BN: Isaiah Crowell Cle - RB
BN: Michael Floyd Ari - WR
BN: Donte Moncrief Ind - WR
BN: Breshad Perriman Bal - WR
BN: Darren Sproles Phi - RB

1) Is there anyone on my bench I should be playing instead?
2) Is there any talent worth picking up on my waivers (click spoiler)

3) In my first league I am playing Brandon Marshall at WR for the Jets... should I sit him for Steve Smith or Marcus Wheaton? Nervous about the Jets QB situation

In a PPR league, I don't think it was too much of a stretch to pick Antonio that early. I think his ADP was like 6-7th.

Who do I start?

Big Ben

or

Bradford

I want to start Ben since I have Antonio Brown, and would love the double dip. I'm still on the fence, but I'm leaning Bradford. He seems to have the higher ceiling this week against a terrible Falcon's secondary.

The falcons/lions game is predicted to be a shoot out, highest over/under in vegas this week.  Your assessment and gut are correct.

Am I crazy to drop Jay Cutler to pick up a defense?  I didn't draft a defense.  Other QB is Bridgewater who I think will really breakout this year.  There's literally nobody else I would dare drop.  14 team.

I think Ben.  They are going to be throwing a lot and I'm always a fan of the double dip especially when it's a receiver like Brown.

I'd drop Cutler. He'll have more picks than TDs on Sunday. Plus he has no one to throw to.

I'd find another RB. I don't like Gordon at all for the first half of the season. He was called a "Patient Runner" in camp. His own mother wont even wear his jersey. Drop of of the 3 QBs you have and snag another RB. If its a 4pt/TD league, I'd keep Tyrod. I actually like Eli over Ryan after week one.

Not bad.  Strong RB corps.  You'll want to monitor Roddy closely (probably a season-long thing with him) due to several nagging injuries.  I bet he'll miss a few games and be a GTD for many more.  Week one is always difficult to project, so you might consider keeping it as-is and see how he performs.  If he faceplants, then you have Wallace to lean on.

Save your waiver priority for after week one, or even two.  By then we'll know a lot more about the roles guys are going to have and who might be a hot pickup.

I like Smith over Marshall this week.  Marshall is going to draw Haden in coverage.  Don't trust Marshall to win that matchup.

Good QB situation (though not sure why A.  you drafted both Matt and Eli and B.  Why you then followed up with Taylor).

Great WRs, obviously.

Your RB situation is pure boom or bust.

Your bench is devoid of depth and talent.  You remember when I critiqued your QB strategy?  This is the result.  You could have used those picks on depth or lottery tickets.  Two kickers?  C'mon, man.

Thanks yea that was the plan, lock down RB's and use the waiver to drop on a breakout WR.

Thanks for the tip on Marshall/Smith. I was already leaning that way for other reasons, so I'll take your advice

A theory I had what do you guys think of dropping and picking up a new defense every week based on who they are playing against ? Like I was thinking of dropping my cardinals and picking up the Bengals or the Panthers while they play less formidble teams ?

I do this all the time. Sometimes there's nothing better than what you've got, sometimes you hit a hot DST in week 2 or 3 and ride them all season long, sometimes you just pick up whoever is facing the Jags/Bucs/Titans/Texans/insert crappy team here.

I've won championships with streaming defenses.

I do the same with kickers, or at least I don't worry about carrying a second kicker and swapping one for another for a bye week or whatever.

Ok so Panthers or Bengals would be a good way to start this ?

Yup...

I did that for most of last year. Whoever was playing Jax or Jets...I picked up.

Can work out well overall...

If you're not picking up defense week to week youre not playing. If your league just sits on a dst let them.

Own one dst and only for that week. Come playoff time pick for the playoff schedule. Thank me later.

An active owner is a winning owner. Right now I have no DST starting or on my roster. Want to win?  Stream dst every week.

I drafted Eli cause for one I need a backup and two I had Matt Ryan last year and he basically shit the bed though I did win the SB.  Tyrod was best available.  There was literally nobody worth taking in the rounds I took him.  At least he was a starter.  Second kicker was auto draft last round as I had to go home.  RB's I know I'm rolling the dice.  Picking 11th in a 12 man draft with 17 rounds you tend to run out of viable options.

I got sidetracked and drafted Matt Ryan forgetting that I wanted Eli.  I needed a backup and Eli was available pretty late.  I wish there werre viable RB's on the waiver but its a deep league and the waiver wire is bare.  I did just pick up Denard Robinson and dropped my second kicker.  I know its not great but at least its something,

You start luck every week. Offer somebody else. It's a lopsided trade anyway. You should get a solid rb1 for one of those guys.

Luck was a 1st round pic. You should get a comparable first round guy.

Then tell him to pound sand. Ivory for luck is highway robbery and to the point of offensive. In my league I wouldn't even allow the trade.

He'll McCoy for luck is robbery. He went in the first round mostly, so that's his value. You should get a top tier rb/WR.

Somewhat agree. Luck is worth more than Ivory, but isn't worth a Lacy, J. Charles, or Lynch. Hill, Forsett, Murray, McCoy would be more inline. Just because someone reached for a QB in round 1, doesn't meant they get a Top 5 round 1 RB/WR in return. I have Big Ben and Bradford, no way I'd trade Antonio Brown (my first rd pick) for Luck. I don't feel like the upgrade at QB makes up for the drop at WR. Maybe in a multiplayer package trade, but not straight up. This is even more true in 4pt/PaTd or PPR leagues.

Well that's why you don't draft QBs in the first 5 rounds! I'm rolling with bridge water the rest of the season and I'm fine with that. The extra  30 points I'll get at other positions will crush. Some folks really want that top qb though for reasons I will never understand.

Here's his pitch

" I just feel like Ivory has a lot of value this year and most rankings seem to agree. .
A steal in round 6, he's ranked as the 15th best back going into this week by Rotoworld and has no competition in that backfield.
Based on your roster I really feel Ivory for Luck is really fair. You don't lose much at QB and end up with two top 15 backs on your roster.
While I do like Luck the best I don't think his numbers will be as good as last year now that they have a real running back with Gore"

He's treating you like a moron.

The Colts will probably pass a ton to Gore.  Luck is a top 2 QB and Ivory is shit.  The Jets offense is fucking terrible and Ivory has to share a backfield with Powell and Ridley.

You may be strong at QB but it doesn't mean you should trade a round 1/2 draft pick for a round 6 pick.

I'd laugh and move on. After a few weeks he might be singing a different tune.

That's the challenging thing about drafting with the intention to trade. If other people are ok with a middle of the field qb, you are going to get lowballed all season.

He wont play in 1/2 of the games after he comes back around week 5-6.

That's terrible return ( FF points ) for a guy who you most likely drafted in the 5th or 6th round in a 12 team league.

I do not see A. Foster contributing much this 2015 season or any other years ( too old and cannot stay healthy )

Hell he hurt himself in TRAINING CAMP ... you think he is going to get any better after taking hits / punishment in regular season full contact games ?

You would have been far better off with that 5th or 6th round pick nabbing Chris Ivory or Carlos Hyde or even Reggie Bush ( especially PPR league )

Just my .02 cents ( and 15 yrs of FF experience and around $8000 won in various leagues over that time )

Go grab and stash devante Parker. He has upside wr2 potential if he breaks out. He won't be in your line up for a while if you can sit on a lottery ticket. Watched him be amazing at UL.  I drafted him in all my leagues. I reached on Eddie royal but hoping he pans out.

Those like me that gambled on Arian foster should make a killing.

Auction draft. 6 bucks for foster. 5 bucks for blue.the only problem is that pair takes up two Slots

Solid rb2 protected each other for 11 bucks?  I'll take it. 14 team leagues.

We'll see what AP does. I can't belive in him. Nor Charles. Knile Davis is a must own handcuff.

It's so early you can't predict what those level players will do. Sit on who you drafted, you drafted them for a reason.

I can't stand dropping players I drafted in first 3 weeks. Fuck I held into turd bishop sankey for 6 weeks before dropping him.

We don't know his usage yet.  Either he or Wallace will emerge as #1.

Start Ellington or Ingram?

My other slot is Murray

I'd go with Ingram, I actually am.

He's going to get the carries and he's going to be the 3 down back since spiller is out.

Games need to hurry the fuck up and start.
