2015, GMC serria 2500 hd 4x4, tow package, 6.6 Duramax.

Going for a leveling kit for it first, needs a 2.5 inch on the front for level. Then I'm not sure where I'm going for there.

If you ever plan on hauling anything heavy in the back, you may realize why some folks think leveling kits are pretty dumb.

#1 thing to do is tint the front windows IMO, then leveling.

On the passenger side, what the heck is that under the truck?  Thats a huge chunk of something that will cause high centering easily on unlevel terrain.

I'd get better tires

personally i'd leave it bone stock for a while. maybe when the tires wear out, go to a bigger size on the same rim.

it looks like it's set up as a really nice work truck. i wouldn't want to lose that utility. but brodoze away if that's your thing.

my guess is the weight causes the ass end to sag with a heavy load. which levels the back to the front. but if you're already level, your ass end is now sagging. and as an added bonus, if your load is loose packed mulch or gravel or something like that, you now have gravity working against you.

That's a def tank, tanks epa.   It's coming off the moment I get the four or $5,000 it costs for a delete kit. I can get the dealership to do it for me and my truck still covered by warranty.

I have no idea why they make a 4x4 truck that, well, frankly CAN'T go off road due to all the low hanging shit.

OP, 1st thing to do is lose the air dam.

2nd thing, lose the girly tires.

If anything just have a good alignment guy adjust the torsion bar to raise the front a bit if you want the nose raised a bit. Should be able to easily keep it within specs. Then, add some decent A/T meats. Done.

Weather tech complete floor mats.
20% tint on all windows.
Locking folding bed cover.
Go to semi truck place and get Allison filters cheaper than dealer, check prices. The little spin on oil filter on the tranny. I changed all fluids and filters at 1K miles on my new 2006. Then ran Mobil 1 in diffs, Rotella T synthetic was good for 10K miles according to Blackstone labs, but I did 5-7500 mile oil changes.
The big air filter use Napa gold/Wix, same with oil filter.
I put a 90 gallon gravity fed toolbox/tank in mine. It fit under bed cover. And with factory tank at say 28 gallons, 128 gallons you can go 2K miles without fueling.

Congrats and nice truck.

There's a 2014 freightliner with a dd13 just off left frame in the first you can just barely see the mud flap. Utility is covered.

Buy a skidplate for the exhaust fluid tank. Or call Ppei and get a delete tune and lift pump to keep the CP4 from blowing up.

Not to be contrary man but no ifs ands or butts if you take off the emissions equipment you loose the powertrain warranty, and the dealer can't legally do it for you.

Nice truck though, level kit would look excellent.

What to do with the truck?

Depends....what are you going to use it for?

Me? I'd chuck really good floor mats in it, maybe seat covers if it'll get a lot of interior traffic, I'd tint the fronts to match the rears, and if needed some better tires (if it's a street beast only then leave the stockers).

Then I'd just drive it.

I don't think that truck will be doing any rock crawling with that stupid DEF tank hanging down like that!  Seems they could have tucked it up under the bed or somewhere.  J did not know they had a tank that big.

First thing I noticed. Is that location New? I drove a brand new 2500 Duramax around the country for a show in 2013 (I think), it used DEF but I never saw that box. That looks like an issue just waiting to happen. Nice looking truck though.

You'd probably better get that in writing with your lawyer and the dealer principal present and have it notarized.

Tampering with EPA mandated stuff and installing tuners is an automatic decline by the warranty policy book.

Its on all of them.
On the fords its above the fuel tank. So you get a 25gal tank instead of 34 on the dmax. 100$ skidplate takes care of it. Its pretty much level with the framerails.
