I live 5 minutes from there and evidently drove by just before this shit went down. I drove by that store around 3:55 pm. 20 minutes later my Mom called and asked what was going on in Sunset, because the Police were everywhere, and she had to turn around and get home another way.

So, he goes up and down the street asking to use people's phone and when somebody says okay he stabbed the shit out of them and then shot the Officer afterward and then ran his car into the store and took hostages? is this a movie?

It is really sad what is happening with the race wars (for lack of a better term). The obongo administration has accomplished what it set out to do. Now we just sit and wait and see how bad it's really going to get. Doesn't look good. Police are afraid to do anything because of ferguson and other cases and have become sitting ducks for these idiots. I spoke with a local officer yesterday morning and he said he has two years to go. Can't wait to get out. He says every time they step out of the car or approach a vehicle or home they have no idea what to expect. I feel for LE right now. I would not want to be doing what they do. May God protect and keep these men and women. |

Last year Louisiana had a total of 1 LEO killed in the line of duty. This year so far we are up to 5. It will be six if this one does not make it but I hear it looks like he will pull through.

Cpt. Clay Higgins says Harrison Lee Riley allegedly stabbed the mother of the Mayor of Grand Coteau and was related to the Sunset Police officer he shot and killed. 66-year-old Jacqueline Johnson received moderate injuries in the attack. Riley was related to all of the victims, including Officer Henry Nelson. Cpt. Higgins says Nelson and Riley were cousins. After allegedly stabbing and shooting, Riley drove his car into the Sunset Mini Mart, barricaded himself inside, and began a standoff with authorities. The standoff lasted 2 hours and 18 minutes, ending at 6:25 p.m. when a SWAT unit breached Riley’s barricade. SWAT officers were able to arrest Riley without inuring him. Cpt. Higgins says, “The captured murderer never stopped his barrage of insults and resistance and he attempted to spit many times on the arresting officers.” Riley is currently being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail. The complete list of charges against Riley is still being compiled. |
