My guess is she doesn't know to step on the clutch to start it.

Worst case: Broken timing chain, bent valves.
ETA: Meant to say belt, not chain. |

Pretty neat. Wanna make a quick hundred on it? I'll go $500 as is.

The Si versions used to be hellatious little grocery-getters.

If I did that, I'd probably help her out a little more on the price, but if it runs and I don't immediately sell it for a profit, I'll just drive the damn thing into the ground. I can't imagine anything is seriously wrong with the car, the way the rest of it was overhauled, but who knows? |

Easy, the rear diff has a broken pinion...they were notorious for doing that

I had an 86, the body style above, in the Si version. It was pretty beat up by the time I got it but it was a hell of a fun car. No power steering on 'em though, and that might be the only "problem". View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Meh, you're better off selling it. I'll buy it from you for $600.
Kidding, that's an awesome score man. |

If I fall in love with it, it will get lowered(not slammed) and tinted. |

I wish they still made a CRX that stayed true to the origninal. My brother had a 1st gen and my parents bought a '90 CRX HF new. Both were fun cars even if not very powerful.

What the hell kind of raffle was giving that away as a prize?
|

I had one when I was a teenager. Had 18's a flip out tv(when they were expensive as all hell) and eight tens. Had some fun times in that car.

check the battery, fuel relay, and distributor (cap and rotor). worst case you have a snapped belt and bent valves
|

I'm going to take the long odds and say car bomb.
Dibs on all OPs stuff. |

Man it's ugly. Get it running bet some tards would get in a bidding war for it

Probably a small local raffle, like to benefit a volunteer FD, etc. There's one by me that's raffling off a clean, used Jeep TJ. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If this is like 99% of other cars, a fuel pressure relay will be interchangeable with A/C or something else, right? Come to think of it, she said it wasn't towed, so it MUST have ran before being parked. Dead battery for sho. |

The Si versions used to be hellatious little grocery-getters. How do I tell if its an SI? Easiest way to tell is the tail emblem. They get stolen a lot though. The HF would give you 50 highway, but the SI would do 40+ and was very rewarding of things like drafting in overdrive. It's still only 90hp, but in a car under a ton with a decent five speed it aint bad at all. |
|
Don't know why, but I like the CRX.
I haven't seen one around in ages though for some reason.
Probably worth dropping an engine in for the extra horsepower. |
|
If u cant determine when the timing belt was changed. Have it done

Throw in a brown top ZC motor and it's a fun little car. You would be surprised how fast it feels with that zc in it. look around for an old Integra and grab the motor. B16 or any of the DOHC vtecs are a mother fucker to get to work in that car.

It's an 84-87 crx, not as good as the 88-91 but still a sweet car. It's probably worth a few grand to someone who is into Hondas. |

I worked at a Honda dealership when these things where new.
They are a great little car. We didn't sell many though because back in the day insurance companies classified them as sports cars because they only had two seats so unless you were an old fart with a good driving record the insurance rates kept the younger crowd from buying them. |

It just shares the paint scheme of the car in the OP, I can't recall focusing on the front end and lights enough to know the difference. |
