Why?
Freddy Gray, Trayvon, a damn lion, the Southern Cross Battle Flag, just to name a few. Why do they froth at the mouth over something they were clueless about the day before? Mental illness doesn't run in my family and I'm not flexible enough to fit my head in my ass, so I have trouble with their mental gymnastics. |
Their minds are not geared to process complex information nor make rational decisions based largely on facts.
It is simple distraction.
Iran nuke deal is horseshit? Look at poor Cecil the fuzzy lion!!!11!!!11 |
You could ask them but they'd only reply "Baaaasa"....which of course explains it, anyway.
They are ruled by emotion. The right is populated with (mostly) people ruled by tradition and in smaller numbers, people ruled by logic.
I would say that the ramifications of such have been pretty damn consequential. History Erased , Trophy hunting that supports entire economies and poverty stricken villages on the brink of being illegal, completely changing the was effective policing is done hence the skyrocket in crime.
So sure the events are stupid but the effects and ramifications effect many and have been anything but inconsequential |

Freddy Gray They can bash/limit cops. Trayvon They can try to get rid of Stand Your Ground a damn lion They can try to ban big game hunting. the Southern Cross Battle Flag, They can try to destroy Southern (red state) culture. View Quote It may seem inconsequential, but everything can be used to push their agenda. Go fly a Confederate flag outside of your house and see what happens. |

Ruled by the media!
They jump on whatever cause celeb is pushed by the media to distract from real problems. Benghazi, what difference does it make? Rising health care cost?, worry about a Lion! Invaders flooding in from the South?, worry about a flag! Abortions and Planned Parenthood sale of body parts?, Global Warming! 5 service men killed in sensless violence by a nutcase?, More gun control! Total usurping of congressional power? Ebola! The list goes on, find a real piece of news, and it will be drowned out by feel good do nothing news bites. |
It's the same reason that we're fixated on inconsequential crap like Cliven Bundy. Who gives a fuck about Cliven Bundy?!
NO ONE! It was what it represented when the government sent a hundred armed men to try and enforce their will on him. Cecil and Freddy Gray and all the rest are symptoms of bigger problems that the left agonizes over. They're used as a nexus to try and focus attention on those problems, no different than Cliven Bundy. |

I am pretty sure I would make more friends in my neighborhood. |

The left does not give one fuck about Freddie Gray or the stupid lion or any of their bullshit hashtag campaigns. They are merely useful tools for them. Catchy slogans that serve a purpose with no necks stuck out and no skin in the game. The people who went to the Bundy ranch with their firearms ready gave a fuck about what happened to Bundy. |

So that the right well also become fixated on it, then they can get some real work done.

They do nothing productive with their lives so this makes them "feel" important, progressive, and relevant. They are however none of these.
It's trendy. They have a need to fit in, no backbone and no brains to have a rational, logical discussion.
Edit: In fact, I'd be willing to bet, its part of the physiological makeup. |
They don't have a God, so they create one. It's more complicated than that, of course, but that's the gist of it.
Every person needs to believe in something bigger than themselves. A thinking person fights for freedom. A non-thinking person fights to "save the whales" or "climate change" or "abortion rights" or whatever. This basic human need can be easily exploited, and has been... all throughout history. |

Fight the small stuff, win the big battles boys
And right now WE. ARE. LOSING |

If you keep feeding Christians to the lions and handing out free bread and wine you can get away with anything you want.

Because they don't see the issue as inconsequential. They see it as an incident that's part of a larger problem.

It is an amazing (and frightening) case study in mob psychology.
I bet 3 months ago nobody gave a flying shit about the Confederate battle flag. Look at how quickly they rise to foaming at the mouth levels of outrage and think for a minute what will happen when their masters point them at us in an angry fashion. Exactly how things like the holocaust happened. |

1) Divide and conquer. Distracts people from real issues.
2) Distraction. You want folks to figure out that Dodd-Frank resulted in you becoming an unsecured creditor to your bank? That $100,000 in that account belongs to the bank, not you and you're second in line to a primary creditor. Oh, ditto for those stocks that your brokerage says belongs to you. Distraction also allows for more shenanigans being pulled right in front of the public's face and the public is in total ignorance (or apathy) of it. 3) Take advantage of people's short attention span. Issue doesn't appear in the news, people forget it was the crisis of yesterday. Remember ebola? Turn off the main stream media. BTW, look what Congress has done that doesn't have public support: TARP, 0-Care, Internet kill switch. Will of the people be d*mned. It's what Congress' paymaster wants. Anyone want to comment on the repeal of Glass-Steagall and its implication? |

Yeah, the Right only cares about important shit, like Cliven Bundy, the 1% of planned parenthood funding used for abortions, the other side of the Confederate Flag debate, whether rapes can be "legitimate" or not, and what Biblical teachings should be inside science books.

part of the rules for radicals. (Read them. The current world will make SO much more sense)
they are either: Diverting from a real crisis or Isolating or Polarizing a particular issue. If you can polarize a particular issue, say race, and then demonize anyone who's not on your side, especially if you can control the language of the verbal abuse, you win. You can use verbal attacks and bullying to literally control thought. We, the oppfor, needs to adopt the same rules. don't like guns? You're anti civil rights. Hate religion? You're a terrorist. no other choice, terrorist. they're very effective. |

Manipulation of idiots. View Quote It goes both way. Left is manipulated as is the right. Isis is Al Qaeda rebranded and we supply them. Why? To destabilize the middle east and to keep us in fear of the bogie man. The State Dept. & CIA spent $5 bill to unseat the Ukrainian government and to put the current regime in office. Remember Nuland's comment, "Fuck the EU?" Then the right is told that Russia is the threat and that the Russians are threatening the peace of Europe. All this does is edge us closer to WW III. |
