He's actually 1 of the guys I like on the show. Him and that dude that installs garage doors. The rest are massive douches. View Quote For the most part this. Doesn't say that much, almost never hear him talk shit, but lets his driving speak for him. He can out-drive just about everyone on that show. Sucks to see this happen. Probably a significant chunk of money of his down the drain because he's an owner as well as the driver now. |

Damn, he just finished the car. Looks like he got out of the groove (What little was there at a no prep) on the right side, and lost it. Off to yellowbullet!!! It kind of looked like tire spin on the drivers side coming off the line.....could be wrong though. Fortunately he wasn't going terribly fast when it got loose. If it had happened 900 or 1000 feet out, the results could have been much worse... Define "terribly fast". I think we have different definitions. It's an 1/8th mile track and I bet that car is trapping anywhere from 150's-170's on a full 1/8th mile pass. |

The car was off in the marbles by 100 - 150 feet so it wasn't going anywhere near it's trap speed. I seriously doubt it'll hit 150 in the 1/8 and I'll wash yer ass and drink the water if it'll do 170 in that distance. Those are national record type numbers for door slammers. Now something might have broken as that's always a possibility but honestly, it looks like it got out of the groove and he tried to drive through it (why I don't know because his numbers for the run were already FUBAR'd), ran out of talent and hit the damn wall. I see why they run on the street too. They probably avoid a tech inspection like the plague. A car like that NEEDS a good thorough tech inspection from a professional inspector. It might keep one of them alive someday. You can get a real inspection at any divisional meet from one of the NHRA's guys and you can take what he says to the bank. It's a miracle that cloud of nitrous didn't find a spark somewhere in that melee and fry the guy. Hope he recovers quickly and learns from his mistake. |

It's called a sponsor don't you even get that. All drivers want to drive for a big name owner and how do they do that? Do you really think all NASCAR sprint car drag cars at the big meets do it on their own dime.Formula one and Indy cars wouldn't exist without owners who hire drivers. That's how racing works which you clearly don't understand. So the owner of the car paid him as a driver to drive it. Are you from another planet or just 12 years old? |
