Didn't you read the sign? It clearly says "no dogs allowed". The guard had to get out the tower. That's when the dogs owner attacked him.

ETA: After second viewing I'm thinking maybe a sledge hammer instead of a pickaxe but with that much fat, the sledge could bounce back pretty hard.

In a lot of jurisdictions Life Guards are have a duty to keep the peace. Try flipping a lit cigarette into a police car at a peace office and report back to us on what happened. My guess the cholos got the ride and get to see the judge.

Don't fuck with ocean lifeguards is a good rule to live by. Lifeguard took care of business quickly.

The LAPD identified the two men as Harutiun Balyan, 30, and Ara Sarkisyan, 28. The woman was identified as Arusiak Gekchyan, 28. All three were arrested on suspicion of battery on an executive officer, a felony.
