Almost 3AM, already shit, showered and shaved. Figure I'll leave here in 30 or so, get a cup of coffee and head on in to work. These Sunday shifts blow, but no management is around so it makes for a drama - less day. Police dispatching/911 operator , every day is different than the last.

Seems 4am is the norm. Seems about 6 hours of sleep is about all I can handle. However no one else is awake so I can pay bills and budget, read, or anything else I want before the wife and kids wake up.

Sigh, sometimes I think I'd pay good money to sleep beyond 0530.
Oh well, beats the ever loving shit out of working 1800 - 0600......Never again. Retirement is good. 
Almost time to go pillage the local flea markets anyway.

Now yesterday was the day I got up early. 0300 hrs.
This morning I didn't wake up till 0530 hrs. Stayed up to 2300 hrs watching a movie with my wife so I slept longer this morning. Worked/sweated enough yesterday in this VA heat/humidity that in spite of all the water/lemonade I drank yesterday and last night that I didn't have to wake up last night to go piss so I pretty much slept through the rest of the night. |
