All the interviews to date emphasize the blended family turmoil. So here's hoping it's not another thinly disguised soap opera. I will watch because I love Joanie from Deadwood. http://31.media.tumblr.com/e70ff6b5961cb48cb68389a0403f0a53/tumblr_n8h4th9eKM1r5exaho1_250.gif View Quote Of course it will also be a soap opera, once you get set up in a secure location than you need bone headed decisions to mess things up and be stuck back out in the wild again. I'm still down for checking it out. In. |

According to a article on IGN, this show will be a "slow burn".
In addition, they are using teachers/guidance counselors as the hero's so they can get more average* people's reactions. And the entire reason behind "fear the walking dead" was brand recognition. I think they'd have been better with "walking dead: LA" but they disagreed. *Average means stupid. In summation, I predict much stupidity... |

I've been hoping they'd show more of the initial breakdown and how people react to a collapse of societal norms and cushion. Let's hope it's well executed.

The title should be The Walking Dead: Origins or something like that. Read the title and thought it was another talking dead.

I'll check it out but won't hold my breath.
It should be good as far as seeing the outbreak from a different point of view but it'll fall into the same pattern TWD has for me. Find safe place, bad guy shows up, leave used to be safe place. I still watch TWD but it no longer has the got to see it at first run time other than the season opener and closer. |

Ok, no farm for this one. I predict, Babershop or a tailors business. All scrunched up inside, behind the pull down security gate. Maybe the Dad of the family is Sunni, and the tailorshop owner is Shitte. Oh yeah.

Wonder if T-Dog will be in it? A quick appearance by someone like that would be awesome. With a line like "I'm headed to Atlanta to find my family" Part of me would like to see a very brief Easter egg like that... while another part of me thinks it would be extremely cheesy and lame. |

I'm going to watch it for what it is, entertainment.

I want to punch ponytail boy before a single episode has aired. I like the actors who play the parents so I might still give it a chance.

I would LOVE to see the new group strike out across the country, with many adventures along the way...
As they get to the east, maybe a few seasons in (so you're emotionally invested in the group) they bump into a group that they are threatened by. The two groups prepare for war... and at the end of the season, just when the conflict starts to get bloody, you realize... the group they're in battle with is Rick's group. |

So it has a 5 week time horizon? Does that mean they are all dead in 5 weeks? Or do they simply fade off into the groups trying to survive?
