For the first time this year, Donald Trump tops a state poll of GOP presidential candidates in Florida.
A St. Pete Polls survey released on Wednesday shows the New York businessman with 26 percent support, with Jeb Bush in second place with 20 percent. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is in third place with 12 percent, and Marco Rubio is in fourth place with 10 percent. He’s followed by Dr. Ben Carson at 5 percent, Ted Cruz and John Kasich at 4 percent, and Rand Paul at 3 percent. Sixteen percent are unsure or are supporting another candidate not named in the survey. |

Who the fuck supports Bush and how the fuck is he polling so highly?!

He's trumping the GOP opposition, I can't wait until he's done and starts in on the Dems.

Great point and fair enough. But even in all the national polls I see, he is #1 or #2. Im not a tin foil guy, so naturally, I must be missing something?? Hes a RINO with a toxic name, or Im really out of touch with the Republican base, I suppose? |

I'm not here to bash Trump, Hell, I think he's been great so far but I fear he'll step on his dick in the debate and hurt himself badly.
He's going to need to give some well reasoned solutions to issues, not just lob grenades in the general direction of his fellow candidates and while to this point he's been playing his game, at the debate he'll be playing the politicians' game and there are several who will be laying for him. We shall see I guess but I hope he sticks around for a while and doesn't go off the reservation. He definitely serves a good purpose and if he chooses to really apply himself, he could be a hard cat to clean after. |

Go Trump, you got my vote, or Cruz or Walker....not that it matters in Tx
Any R is better than Hildabeast! Think about it! |

Ted Cruz needs to step up his game. He doesn't have Trump's billions or name recognition with the proles. He needs to do something audacious again to get the mainstream media slinging shit his way. Any publicity is good publicity, and he's going to need a lot to get heard over reality TV attention-whore Trump.

Trump has a big presence in Florida with Palm Beach Mar A Lago.
I suspect he will do well in Florida. |

"Lobbing grenades" is EXACTLY what he needs to be doing right now to expose the elements of the GOP establishment and their collaboration with the libs. |

Trump’s presence in first GOP debate makes prep challenging for candidates.
Onetime candidate Newt Gingrich says the first goal of next week’s GOP debate is to try not to self-destruct. And dealing with Trump will be difficult, he warned. These debates are created and have exactly enough time to answer with sound bites. These debates are not reasoned, well thought out arguments, because the American people do not have the time or attention span to sit and listen to 25 hours of economic policy and none of the candidates are bright enough to actually understand the words in their debate books. If Trump does not go all scorched earth, I will be severely disappointed. Bonus points if he grabs bush by the throat and gives him a couple of good bitch slaps (to thunderous applause). |

Who says Trump is being used? Right now, it seems as if Trump is using the GOP's failings and weaknesses as a way to keep his name in circulation. If he doesn't have any intention of winning, he's the perfect flack-taker to keep Cruz from getting beaten to a pulp this far from the election. If he does have the intention of actually running & winning, well, he's polling really damn well. I'd rather have trump than any Dem. But I won't vote for another shrub. |
