Last week I lost my boy Zeus to cancer & anemia. We miss him so much and the house was so empty that we decided to look at getting a new puppy.
So here he is, Maximus "Max"     |

Cute guy !!! Both of our dogs are well into adulthood now but I remember those 'puppy' days and the razor sharp puppy teeth. Good times man - good times.

Thanks Guys, He is a real sweetheart (most timid boy of the litter), and so far has only peed once inside. Waits to go outside to pee and poop, I'm amazed.

Just a little update. He is the perfect pup. Pee and poop outside, except a couple accidents in the middle of the night. Knows the word sit and obeys, and knows that the food doesn't hit his bowl until he sits.
He accompanied my wife and I to the diner yesterday with an outside area that allows dogs.  |

Clearly, (and I say this as a fella that has had and buried dogs since they were bigger then I was), the love of a good dog is, repeat is, worth the anguish of their passing. It just doesn't much seem so as you are putting the first shovel full on their still little body...

Thanks guys. Max rocks, he has become my shadow this weekend and will be in any room I am in.
He found Zeus's dog toy bin and we let him go nuts. I admit it got dusty when his toys came out again. Zeus would be pissed! Those are his toys!  |
