Wow, it must have been a lot of work making all of those child support payments!

I wonder if something like this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back in terms of the welfare state. We have been in a recession for the past 6 years, our society is falling apart. We simply cannot afford the excesses that socialism provides. Cut the welfare state dry, call it austerity, but either we continue where we are heading, financial insolvency with paper currency, or we make some tough (perhaps easy) choices. The system has been abused every  which way possible, it is time to reform it, by killing it. It will take a generation, but the excesses in crime and poverty that the welfare state perpetuates will slowly go away. We just have to rip off the bandaid.

Yeah, right.  Dude has averaged 2 arrests a year, and a kid every two years if you just start at 18 years old.

My parents' neighbor was stopped at a stop light and someone smashed his windshield with brick.  He took off before anything worse could happen.

Completely the opposite.  The welfare buys votes, the votes keep the welfare coming. You, a lowly wage earner, have to real say in it. So STFU and keep the checks coming.

Ok, I just heard on  1230 AM that the dash cam video is so bad that there is no way that Joe Deters will be able to avoid bringing charges against the officer.  It hasnt been released to the public yet, so this is all insider stuff so it may be complete crap, who knows.

Also, one of the houses near the incident has a security camera that happened to be pointed at the area where it all went down.  Its reported that the CPD have taken the video from the home owner, who happens to be a CPD officer too.

I certainly hope not.

I know Ray Tensing personally.  I went to the academy with him when I got certified in Ohio, and gave him a reference when he was in the process for getting hired at UCPD (who I had worked for previously).  He is a very good dude and was always very squared away and capable of making good decisions.  UCPD's use of force training has always been good as well.

I'm anxious to see any video about the incident to hopefully see what actually happened.  I hope he did it right.

I listen all day every day.  Its the best free entertainment Ive ever had.  We have one of the best am stations in the county, 700wlw, but I choose to listen to the buzz instead.  The callers are fantastic.  Can you believe this is how these people actually think?

Also, the app is better for listening, the link on the web page can be a little fucky sometimes.

So do I have this right:

Officer pulls over guy for no front license plate. Suspect is clearly drunk. Officer asks him to get out of car. Physical struggle occurs over door, officer falls to ground. Suspect drives forward and officer fires.

If that's the story. how is that not a clear cut case of defense of self (I thought he was going to back up and run me over) or others (probable cause to believe a fleeing, drunk suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury)?

Meat Loaf – Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad Lyrics
Baby we can talk all night
But that ain't gettin us nowhere
I told you everything I possibly can
There's nothing left inside of here
And maybe you can cry all night
But that'll never change the way I feel
The snow is really piling up outside
I wish you wouldn't make me leave here
I poured it on and I poured it out
I tried to show you just how much I care
I'm tired of words and I'm too hoarse to shout
But you've been cold to me so long
I'm crying icicles instead of tears

And all I can do is keep on telling you
I want you, I need you
But-there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad

You'll never find your gold on a sandy beach
You'll never drill for oil on a city street
I know you're looking for a ruby in a mountain of rocks
But there ain't no Coup de Ville hiding at the bottom
Of a Cracker Jack box

I can't lie, I can't tell you that I'm something I'm not
No matter how I try
I'll never be able to give you something
Something that I just haven't got
There's only one girl I'll ever love
And that was so many years ago
And though I know I'll never get her out of my heart
She never loved me back
Oh I know

I remember how she left me on a stormy night
She kissed me and got out of our bed
And though I pleaded and I begged her not to walk out that door
She packed her bags and turned right away

And she kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
I want you, I need you

But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
I want you, I need you
But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
Baby we can talk all night
But that ain't getting us nowhere

"There was a struggle at the door with Mr. Dubose in the vehicle and the officer outside the vehicle, and the vehicle sped away," Cincinnati police Lt. Col. James Whalen told reporters. Tensing fired a single shot, hitting the driver in the head. Tensing fell to the ground as he fired the shot, bruising his legs and tearing his uniform, Cincinnati police said.

Nice fuckin' shot, officer Tensing.

Sam Dubose's family is calling into a radio station now stating how just because he was selling drugs and had a record doesn't mean he should be held in a negative light. The best part is when the DJ asks if the callers know each other, they're unsure.

Im so glad you heard that. I was wondering if you were still listening, lol.  From 2-4 they play the Rev Al Sharpton show, but from 2-6 its the Sister Speak show, which is more local Cincy radio.  Its gonna make your head explode.  After that its rebroadcast until tomorrow at 7 am.  You better be careful or you'll get hooked.

There was just a press conference with the mayor and the university president.  The gist of it is as follows:

"Well, no - we haven't seen any evidence, and we don't actually know any actual...facts... but we'd like to apologize to the family for their tragic loss, and while we're not going to come out and say it - we're going to insinuate that the officer was wrong and the department sucks."

ETA:  Fuck you, John Cranley and Santa Ono.  Fuck you right in the ass... with a cactus... that's on fire... and has AIDS.
