You whipper snappers don't know how to party. |

Good stuff. Berdan primed. I remember buying a sealed crate of 1200 rounds marked "Match" for $200.00.

The mere fact that you posted this thread means zombies are going to be eating you within about 20 minutes... |

I remember the days when I would load up 100 round belts and run them through my semi 1919. Those were the days!

I shot up one with a $39 price tag on it at an Appleseed shoot right before Sandy Hook....

Both were cheap dates that swallowed anything I shoved down their throats . The Federal 2nd's , M-80 rejects , were about $130 per thou and worked really well .... all I have left is a couple thousand , or less , of various different mil-surps from the last 15 years . I rarely shoot 308 anymore , I just cant afford what it would cost to replace it. |

You know little about what you speak about. SA 7.62x51 is very good milsurp ammo. Sure it was cheap in the '90s, but that is the past. Battle packs of this stuff bring good money. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

You can go get yourself new ZQI 7.62 NATO M80's for less than that at the local WM.
Buy cheap and stack deep. Unfortunately everyone used the SA shit as range food, now it's like a rarity. |

Quoted: sounds like a rip off at 50 cents a round View Quote +1 Yes it is decent surplus, but it is Berdan primed and some of the lots were exceptionally dirty.... meaning the tar/sealant used for that batch has a bad habit of building up and causing malfunctions in some platforms. It was great at $0.17/round in 2005... today at $0.50/round I would pass and keep my eyes open for commercially produced/boxer primed for about that price. |

View Quote Bingo.... it may be a rarity compared to ten years ago but back then one could still get Portuguese & Hirtenberger for cheap and both of those were superior consistency/accuracy IME. Now they're all rare |

I think I still have around 100 battle packs left of SA. I think most was bought at .12 a round.

I did snag 5 cases from a buddy who wanted to dump it for $100 per case. OP Hirt is good ammo and that price is decent, especially if it's FTF, e.g. no shipping. Decent but not spectacular. Here it is for a little over 50 CPR but you eat shipping. |

I'm not even sure why you're asking this question unless I'm mistaken in my impression that you're old enough to know what it is and what it's worth.

Best time spent on the Dillon EVAR. |
