'83 mercedes diesel sedan here.
I drive a company truck most of the day but the benz gets around a tank of fuel (400/500 miles a tank) put through it a week. It's a hideous beige and has some holes in it, but that's alright, it gets rallied through the woods occasionally on the weekend also have a 96 f150 and '03 yukon but both those stay parked because of fuel $$$ (and parts cost of the gmc) |

I drive a '87 Chevy V20 daily.
Lots of little issues I have to deal with on a weekly basis, but it continues to chug along. |

That's a nice looking old Ford truck. We had a 74 F250 Ranger XLT when I was growing up. Had a 390 4bbl and just ran and ran.
Guy I used to work with has an 81 or 82 Ford Escort EXP he still drives. I still chuckle when I look at their parking lot on Google maps and it's there for every update. |

View Quote I would be thrilled to drive that truck everyday. That's got the granny 1st gear . i laid a legendary patch of rubber in 2nd and 3rd gear iirc, with a truck just like that once when i was in high school. The whole town heard. :( I love a straight six. My daily driver is a 97 2wd ranger , 4.0 v6 with 134000 miles. Not my first choice of vehicles, but it gets me to work just fine. It was in the shop recently to have the heads planed and head gaskets replaced. I borrowed my fathers 1981 diesel vw rabbit til the teuck was out of the shop. The vw is right around 300000 miles and i would drive it across the country with no hesitation of being broken down. |

I drive a 1999 Toyota 4Runner with 195,000. Still runs like a top.

My daily is an 84 M1009. Since I bought the deuce I have been driving it almost everyday

1984 M1009
Been pretty cool driving it around with the top off this summer |

We can't have older daily drivers in WI, because for half the year, our government thinks it's a good idea to spread corrosive salts all over the roads.

I daily my 87 f250 diesel. But that is only while I am swapping out the cam on my 72 bronco, then I will go back to driving the bronco for the rest of the summer

'02 F250, 7.3 FWD, radar detector. 20 miles there, 20 miles back 281+k miles on the odometer.

1983 Mercedes 300D for the past year. Had a 1985 300TD for the previous 4 years which is now parked in the barn for spare parts. I put on about 350 miles a week. We got a lot of love for diesel Mercedes here on Arfcom.
My truck is a 1981 C20. The wife has a 2004 TDI Passat. Haven't had an O2 sensor at our place for years. |

Truly DD'ing a carbed vehicle doesn't seem worth it.
I guess everyones daily drive is different. |

Quoted: Truly DD'ing a carbed vehicle doesn't seem worth it. I guess everyone daily drive is different. View Quote I bolted a Holley TBI Projection on my 80 CJ-7 in place of the POS Carter 2bbl. At the same time, my buddy swapped the POS Carter on his 78 CJ with a 4bbl Holley, aluminum manifold and headers. After driving both of them I'll take the Holley TBI Projection over the 4bbl carb any day. Instant starts, no choke, better low range power, any angle and no temperature issues. |

Mine was a '73 Pontiac until about 2 weeks when I bought an '02 Lincoln. The Pontiac is for sale, BTW.

Been driving the 1996 Town Car daily (with an exception here and there) the past few months since my 1996 Cavalier started acting "iffy" (I don't trust it for anything but very short trips, I ain't ditching it yet, but not putting the $$$ necessary into it at over 200k either).
I commute alone now, so my 1991 Miata will resume daily driver duty as soon as I get a new paint job... I've been updating/fixing her up for a while now and the only thing left is paint. My wife and I have six vehicles between us, all bought new or from close family, ranging from 1991 to 2003. They all have at least 100k, one is over 200k and two more are approaching that mark. We take good care of them. I am considering buying something newer (not new) when the Cav croaks or becomes a truly lost cause, but not before. |

My dad drives an old 80-something El Camino. Has over 200,000 on the clock, but the speedo died a decade ago.

96 Camry 4cyl, it's quieter than a friends 09 Camry. 137k so far, 20 mpg city, high 20's to low 30's on the road.

As long as your not making big changes in altitude every day. I had a little 85 Ranger v-6 with a full tool box bed and a carb. It got a legit 25mpg. i never saw a newer one come close to that |

I currently have a 1993 Olds ciera 3300 V-6. No what I call old. Its easy to work on very few vacum lines batch fire injection no cam or crank sensors. Averages about 24-25 mpg not great but not terrible either. Came with a house I bought. Had 65000 on it then has close to 130,000. Replaces motor mounts and fuel pump plus tires.
Great car for a new driver easy to see out of. |

Just got a 86 Bronco needs work, but I plan to use it as my daily driver
|
|
I DD my '06 Duramax. Not really an older vehicle but not what most people drive around in all day either.
Makes 500+ hp, 900 tq, and 20 mpg on the highway. Its as fast as anything in town in a straight line 99k on the clock, I'm gonna cry a little when I hit 100k. Until I realize it will last forever, lol. |

I should get a picture, but I have a gold 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. It's in almost pristine condition save for a small dent from the previous owner (a 95 year-old lady who lost her license).
Under 54,000 miles, I believe. Despite being dated, it's a great car and I love it. |
