This is the the one I was talking about building.

It's 1 1/4" schedule 40  gal pipe

The hardware are metal pipe rail fittings

All targets are AR 500 gong

The top row is 12" 10" 12" 10" 12" 10" 12"

Middle row lolly pops are 10" 8" 10" 18" 8" 10" 8"

Bottom row is 10" 12" 10" 12" 10" 12" 10"

I have a smaller stand almost ready for further out with 12" gong , 12"x20"x3/8" 2/3 IPDA/ IPSC  Shooting Target then a 12" gong

Then some smaller targets spread out

Th archery target is set up for the kids , more pics on the archery set up later

Part of the reason we choose this property back in 2005 to build the new house was that 100 ft high ridge back there, a natural back stop

They sent the large archery target (53" Wide x 48" high) cut into three sections (dove tail )

Does anyone have an idea what glue we could use to make sure the sections don't separate?

I missed the co before they closed for the 4th
It's 4LB Polyethylene Foam

Looks good

If you want to save money on chain, use old fire hose or seat belt webbing

That chain has never failed even after direct hits, this is the pistol range at my home, the rifle range we are finishing this week, only 100 yards but 5.56 will sever it, maybe not at 100 yards

More info on the archery target please?  That looks perfect for my longbow.

ETA:  beautiful shooting gallery.  It will be interesting to see how long those trees survive  back there.

We've been shooting here for a few years now.

A lot of them have some blight anyway.

Dutch elm disease?

The stand is an porch seat swing I thought could be re-purposed as the archery stand.

The target you can get here

http://www.foamforyou.com/polyethylene_foam.htm

Or from them on ebay too.

I punched a 3/8" hole in the top at 3 points

Used light chain and large washers so that the holes would not tear.

It's 3" thick  and it stops target arrows well.

Don't shoot to close with a 60lb bow though

Our target bows are around 30 lbs

The kids are between 15 & 20 lbs

I just got this delivered yesterday.

I was pretty happy with the quality too

Looks Great.
Way better than a paper target, nailed to a stump.

I really like the audio feedback from the gongs, it's instant and a lot more fun.

Paper for distance and sighting in
