Or other series? Which was better? Poll inbound!

Next Generation is better, but only the episodes after Gene Rodenberry died.

TNG for me, but I really really enjoyed enterprise too. Much more than I thought I would.

I liked Voyager the most but am one of the rare people it seems who really liked all of the series. LP and I binge watched every episode from every series and every movie like 3 years ago

Some of Voyager was very good. Some was crap. Shakespeare in Space. Hmmm. Wesley and Troi needed to be shoved out of an airlock. Beverly was hot! The show was too uneven. Better after Ryker grew a beard. YMMV. |

The first time I saw TNG I thought Ryker was the same guy as Potsy on Happy Days. The beard helped.

If you like combat and greed, DS9 is the best. If you like hippie feel good crap TNG is the best.

Next Gen was best.
They were all good, except Deep Space Nine which was terrible. |

This is a matter of age......
TNG was when I was in jr high and when I was most geeked out and was the first "adult" show I really invested time in. So it was pretty influential on me, and will always be my favorite. When DS9 came out it was a major life event. Voyager while in college. I liked it better than DS9, at least, better than the first 5 seasons of DS9 Enterprise was when I was no longer in a school/dorm culture, and I did not really watch it until a couple years ago when I needed something to watch. TOS got watched also a few years ago when I needed something to watch. |
|
I grew up watching TNG, but it's a bit shite in comparison/hindsight.
I'll take the DS9, Enterprise or Voyager over ambling luxury liner. TOS sucks (and believe me, I've tried numerous times). |

I love TOS. I'm watching through it with my 10 year-old daughter and she begs to watch a new episode every night. That being said, my ranking would be somewhere along the lines of:
Next Generation Original Series Voyager/DS9 (I liked them both for different reasons) ... ... ... ... ... Enterprise TNG and TOS are close, but TNG just had more maturity and was able to develop characters whereas. TOS only had 3 seasons and the third season was just pretty awful. |

I liked TOS the best, it has that cheesy goodness and exploring captain-at-sea feel none of the others really had. DS9 obviously had the best writing, Voyager and Enterprise were tied for worst, and TNG was probably the best overall.

TOS has awesome fight music. This trumps any other previous opinions stated in this thread. TOS wins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AphxyjrH4SE Plus....Spock. View Quote This is how The Pit should have been set up |

I really got hooked on Enterprise for a while, seems like that's the one closest to reality for us in this age.

Enterprise drove me nuts. They've got transporters but they're too dangerous to use, so they use them all the time. They don't have phasers, but they have weapons that look and act exactly like phasers. They don't have shields, but they have a polarized hull that acts exactly like shields. This was way before the Enterprise D's first contact with the Ferengi, yet they have a Ferengi episode. Same with the Borg. It's like the writers didn't even care.

I generally find that badasses prefer DS9, while women like Voyager, gay guys like TNG, and old lonely men like TOS. Enterprise is popular with people that didn't realize it was Star Trek the whole time. YMMV

I thought that the Xindi arc in S3 was very well done. The only thing I hated about it was the "Temporal Cold War", that just made no sense to me. I grew up on TNG, but the idea of having a show where they had just discovered Warp and still testing the NX class was what made it. Archer could be your kid, or grandchild |

Next Gen was best. They were all good, except Deep Space Nine which was terrible. Fucking Moby. TNG was open Communism. Picard bragged in one episode about how StarFleet would institutionalize " incorrect thinking people and make them right again " . The exact Fellow Traveler phrasing escapes me, but it was the usual repulsive boiler plate commie excrement. |

Nostalgia would have made me answer TNG a few years ago because that's what I grew up watching when I was younger. I'm sure it's the same for the older guys and TOS.
Since they've been up on netflix I've gone back and rewatched parts of TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager. My love for TNG was mostly sentimental imagination. DS9>TNG>TOS>>>>>>Voyager. I never watched much of Enterprise so I'm not going to judge it one way or the other. ETA: changed the ranking a touch. |

The first season was bad. If saw a rerun had Tasha(except for that one exceptional show) or a beardless Riker, I turned it off. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
