Sad deal here....First Officer ever shot in the history of the department. The guy that did it is a career scum-fucking-bag that should have already been in prison. ANOTHER in the long list of failures by the NM judicial system.

Man that sucks.
Managed to get two past the vest?? Damn if that ain't some shitty luck. Same old story of a "lengthy criminal history" asshole being repeatedly let out until he kills someone. |
|
RIP
Shot his old lady in the foot? Weird detail...
Abq NM seemed to me to have the highest per capita neck tatts I've encountered in all my travels. |

Why in the world was this guy not in prison?
In 2006 he went to prison for the shooting death of Mark Garcia. Romero was released from prison in 2008. In 2010 Romero was convicted of shoplifting at a Walmart. A security guard there tried to stop Romero and the security guard died of a heart attack. In the same case, Romero pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor because he used his girlfriend’s children to hide some of the stolen goods. In 2012 Romero was arrested for drug trafficking. In 2013 he was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Romero was busted for auto theft a month later. He pleaded guilty to all those crimes and somehow managed to remain on the streets. During the span of a few weeks, he committed a string of robberies at gas stations and drug stores, police said. Police issued a warrant for Romero's arrest in connection with those robberies Friday. |

Un-fucking believable. Does NM have the death penalty? And if so will it be used?
|
|
Well, at least one news outlet is trying to ask questions of the judges who let that guy out. Of course, that is going nowhere.

That guy should have been behind the prison in a shallow unmarked grave just like everyone like him a long fucking time ago. A justice system with more lawyers then rope is a failure. |

They should remove that tattoo from his neck with a wood planer
