I scratched that itch with the Tavor.  Extremely different from the AR, but it's my first bullpup.

It makes you feel like you have a juggernaut arm. You could probably dual wield two of them.

AR15.Com GD warrior sheepdog: Does it take AR mags?

Regular guy: No but I thought it'd be fun, not every gun has to be a door kicker, meat eater, BTDT, M4skin.

AR15.Com GD warrior sheepdog: Junk!

While I agree with you, it is awfully nice to have magazine commonality between different weapons

My favorite non-AR that takes AR mags is the Sig 556 Patrol:

Not a worthless piece of shit, but a modern autoloading 5.56 rifle that doesn't use AR mags does have a big design flaw.

This thread reminds me of a funny story.

I was RO'ing a stage if the old Ft. Benning 3 gun match back around 07-08 or so.  Remington's military division had brought a couple of the (then brand-new not for sale yet) ACRs to use as stage guns 10" full auto versions.  We were "testing" them a bit before we started running shooters through.  They brought PMags with the guns.  PMags.... made by Magpul... the ones who designed the Masada that turned into the ACR.  Neither gun would run worth a shit with them.  Swapped in some USGI mags, and they ran like a top.  That's how bad Remington/Bushmaster fucked up the design:  it wouldn't even run with the mags it was originally built around.  Everybody thought it was hilarious... well, except the Remington guys, they didn't see the humor in it at all.

ARX-100.

Takes STANAG mags... not all AR mags will work in it. Hella nice rifle EVERYTHING is ambidextrous or completely reversible. Reliable as fuck.

He should consider himself very lucky, I've never even heard of an FS2000 that will take any of the polymer mags without modification of the gun, mag, or both.

Ha. It's smaller than it looks. Very thin if you look at it from the top... and it's light. 6.8lb.

I think you are choosing to see this incorrectly. OP probably has a lot of money tied up in AR mags. OP is tired of ARs. OP would like to get a new gun fix without the additional investment of a pile of new mags.

It's not about calling other mags shit. It's just a cost saving measure that gets him out shooting faster.
