Indy ain't cheap but it is Indy.

So, is that 4 cars out now?  One didn't start the race (gear box problem), one burned up in warmup laps (exhaust fire), and two crashed out on the first turn?

Indy car has its own set of problems

Because I'm a racing attention whore.

I got the chance to shake down a hobby stock yesterday.


A 14 year old will be driving this. I had to grease myself up just to fit into the seat

and hold my gut in so the steering wheel would turn.


Had fun though. Handled good for what I felt

One of my friends is a pilot in one of the flyover helos today. Pretty cool stuff.

This plus the fact the new wore off of NASCAR pretty quickly up there.
The tire fiasco really took the shine off of the race.
Open wheel fan snobbery had nothing to do with it either.


I have noticed a world of difference between open wheel crowds and NASCAR crowds at TMS.
The open wheel folks actually know something about the cars and the race. Most of the NASCAR fans are there for the beer and Jr. or PSP.
