That happened just a few blocks away from me......... Georgetown politics are dominated by senior citizens. There are a LOT of old folks here and they vote. Sun city is just down the road a few miles. Law and Order is a must with these people but I don't think they'll take too kindly to the JBT's getting it on with the elderly. Am I the only one that wants to see some senior citizens rioting? I bet they know how to get stuff done. Queue Southpark "grey dawn" youtube video. LOL, no! There won't be riots, but if there aren't any ramifications, the line will be extra long on election day. You can bet on that, sir. |

S.W.A.T (Stupid Worthless Asshole Thugs) at it again. Serve and protect you elderly folks until your hips break

An 82 year old can pull a gun and shoot you as dead as an 18 yr old gangbanger.
That being said,I'll wait to see what comes out before deciding. |

Isolated incident. That hip fracture for the 82 year old is probably a slow mortal wount that will cost him his quality of life, independence, several years of his life, and 100K+ in medical and care costs. It has been nearly a year and he had to have two surgeries and walks with a cane! Unless they had a real good reason which I expect to read by the truck load in 3...2....1.... this thread will be conveniently ignored. Not by me. Drugs are not a fucking reason to throw flash grenades at an 82 year old and slam him to the ground. Perhaps we should taze and pistol whip ever person under 21 who gets caught drinking a beer. |

I also want to note the general laziness we see in cases like these. Just a little surveillance work could have gotten ID on who was in the house and how to proceed.
ETA We see in the wrong house no knocks as well. Perhaps laws need to change to put it to an end. |

In before the "oh well", "we don't have the full story" etc etc bullshit

There are two possibilities: 1. It happened exactly as stated by the lawyer. In that case, the police were wrong and the guy ought to win a law suit. 2. There might be more to the story, and maybe it didn't happen exactly as stated. Must have been a feisty old dude to warrant a flash bang That'll show um Texas Style: Yee-Haw!!!!!!!!!!.. ..wait a minute. |

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- A lawsuit filed against the Georgetown police department alleges unnecessary force against an 81-year-old man.
- The lawsuit contends that during the encounter, officers handcuffed Crisp and slammed to the ground. According to the lawsuit, family members found him in his own human waste the next day because he was unable to reach the bathroom. Longtime Austin civil attorney Broadus Spivey represents Crisp and said the incident highlights a disturbing law enforcement trend. "All these police force are obtaining former military equipment and they are dressing up in these masks and sending them out like soldiers to attack members of our community, and that's wrong," Spivey said. Crisp, who spent his career in the Navy, continues to recover from his injuries and has since returned to his home. KVUE reached out to Williamson County officials for comment. Georgetown officials said they couldn't yet comment because they haven't received the lawsuit. View Quote |

I'm sure it went down exactly as he said it did. There it is! Right, because criminals, and those harboring criminals, and attorneys representing those criminals are always 100% truthful. Always. There are several facts about this incident that need to be discovered. The flash-bang and proning out might have been warranted (unlikely, but possible). However, if the cops really did leave an 80+ year old dude laying on the ground non-ambulatory with a broken hip, that's pretty fucking inexcusable. |
|
Why would they even use a flash-bang when he is sitting on the front porch looking at them? It's not like he doesn't see them so there would be no need to disorient the guy.

Isolated incident. Motherfucker made a furtive gesture. Perhaps he was next to a baby in a crib? They love to flash bang the shit out of those guys. In both cases it seems it was the baby and the old man's responsibility to move out of the way. <rolls eyes> Now, I *hope* There's a lot more to this story that will justify these actions but more and more often, these stories are becoming more infuriating and inexcusable. These types of stories are why I've completely changed my mind on the 'War on Drugs.' It's time to declare a truce, we lost the war as you can never stop drug use. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Funny, shit like this happens all the time.
But do the LEO's learn from it? No, they just circle the wagons. And make that TBL a 4 lane highway. Then they wonder why the average citizen in the country has no use for them. They made the bed, they are currently sleeping in. I don't bash cops. They have never done anything to me I didn't deserve. But they have totally screwed the pooch so many times. It's about all fucked out. And most people don't give a rats ass about them! |
