Its hard to tell anything from such a brief clip, outside of the return of the double barrel shotgun and the revenant.

Bethesda has a booth at E3 this year and are presenting. Let's hope we get a new Fallout as well, or primarily. Doom is fine and all but D3 wasn't that great aside from the (at the time) graphics.

View Quote they had to make it short, with the kids these days with their microagressions and trigger points, they would be reduced to a puddle of goo if it was shown it all its epic glory. |

I kind of want to see them go totally classic sickhouse on this.
Like, gory to the extreme but fast paced. More like Painkiller and less like Doom 3. |
|
|
Just bring back the original with updated graphics.
Shit, it's still fun even without updated graphics. People STILL play original multiplayer doom. |

I went full screen HD on that video and was completely let down. But the Revenant was by far one of my favorite monsters in the original next to the Arch-Vile. Doom 1 and 2 were such awesome games. Doom 3 wasn't nearly as good but I still enjoyed the crap out of it. |

If you want to get your doom fixes in, I suggest getting Brutal DooM and saving your money. http://www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSzYliSASKc |

I remember skipping a class in college to play Doom shareware back in 93. That game owned me and my 486.

Damn, I like good game trailers. Last game trailer I liked was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNMNJ7DLGXA |

*Yawn*
Unless they really get out of their normal routine, it's just going to be the same aged, dated, tired, rehashed old game with shinier graphics. "Shoot demons, look for key card, open door, shoot more demons, go to next level, look for keycard" was fun in 1994, but doesn't hold my interest any longer. |
|
Well that was quick, and some nice 3-D graphics.
Alienware 8 core i7 to run the game? |
|
|
The micro-aggressions of that game leave me speechless. Some of those monsters were turning their lives around when you online blue line folks go all George Zimmerman on them.

View Quote Unless it leverages a lot of physics or particularly cunning and multiple simultaneous NPC's with intelligent AI, it will just be a GPU-heavy game. Regardless, you can get an i5 or FX-8 series processor for under $200 all day long. You're $250 into a GPU, $350 into an AMD FX CPU, motherboard and 8GB memory, and $100 for a 128G SSD. It's not horribly expensive ot build a competent gaming machine. |

all I want is a VR addon to it so I can use my DK2 or soon to buy Vive..

Does anyone know if Brutal Doom V20 will be a standalone game or does it require Doom?
|
|

Heh. I was just watching the Doom movie the other night and was thinking that it would be awesome if they remade the original game. This has my interest.

For t hose wondering Brutal Doom does work with the BFG Edition of Doom and Doom 2. I've been playing Brutal Doom V19 off and on today. I'd imagine the same will be true when V20 comes out next month.

It's seriously like a new game. If only John Caramack had created this game back in 1993 with the ideas of Brutal Doom. It would've been so much more epic. Does anyone have any idea where one can get HD textures for Brutal Doom? There was a texture pack available but the link seems to be dead. I'm hoping someone on here has them they could send to me. I know it's a long shot. |
