Thanks everyone.
Got my cortisone shot yesterday. He give me a 50% cortisone and 50% lidocaine. It hurt like hell when he poked me and when he dumped all that fluid into my hand. Told me to flex it to get the liquid flowing. OMG. An hour later I got about 80% of my mobility back.
They recommended a return visit in two weeks for eval and second shot if needed.
First thing out of this guys mouth, I'm gonna need to perform surgery. That's got a 100% success rate.
I asked so what other options are there, he didn't like it but said a cortisone shot is a 60% success rate.
I
and said shoot me up and see.
So far so good. I still need to wrap it to fully straighten it out but it doesn't hurt after 10 minutes either in that position. I'm thinking some PT and it should be better and if needed the second shot should finish the job. But holy hell I didn't expect my hand to swell up so much either right after the shot.
Thanks again.
