It will not be over until I can walk into walmart on any given day and buy a 500+ round brick for 20-25 bucks.

LOL you can't buy .22 anywhere without a limit.
In a real market economy, there are not limits on goods. If the box limit wasn't x per person, someone would buy every single one. Yest there is still a massive .22 shortage. |

Went into Wal-mart for the first time in a couple years today.
Rumor had it, that they had Delavac 15-40 for under 13 bucks a gallon. If so, it would be on par with the Deere Plus 50 II, that I end up paying 14 bucks a gallon for in bulk. Nope. Still $14.65 A Gallon. On the way out I stopped in to the sporting goods section. No .22LR. I asked the gal when they expected more .22LR, and she said..."We haven't gotten a shipment in three weeks, and that was just a case of Remington...which lasted an hour." No 9mm. No .223. half a dozen boxes of .40. NO .308. At this point, I am starting to loosen up on conspiracy theory scrutiny. It's been 2 years since I have seen .22LR in the wild. Our economy here, is completely shit. Neckbeards are not gobbling up the .22LR locally. There is either a coordinated effort afoot, to maintain a shortage, and therefore drive prices, or...an effort afoot to keep all ammunition unavailable. It's been 2 whole fucking YEARS!!!!!!!!! I'm smelling a Rat. |

I don't know about the guy you quoted, but between my three kids and me, we go through about two bricks a month just plinking at silhouettes and squirrels in the backyard. Luckily, I bought a shitload over the years and haven't had to replenish lately. I'm hoping this "shortage" ends before my supply does. |

hasnt been much here. my local shop has a few boxes at .10 per round. got groceries at wally world and I always check out in the sporting goods section where ive made friends with the two guys who work back there through the week. they say the same guys still show up every morning and buy everything. View Quote Watch the obituaries. In 10-20 years when they kick it, it'll be like an episode of Hoarders. Kind of sad really. Their widow's will be dumping that stuff for $1/brick - and just praying to God someone buys enough to haul most of it off. |

Yup, takes about 13 seconds. Here is a video of my friend trying my American 180 for the first time. I love his reaction at the end. |

This week I picked up 1 100 count CCI Stingers for .09 per round and one 500 round Winchester wooden box bulk pack for .07 per round at Cabelas. It is starting to show. Since I am not a neckbeard I left a single Federal 325 bulk pack on the Do It Center hardware store shelf for someone else. Also, since I'm not a neckbeard, here is a tip, at least for WA staters. Cabelas has seemed to have .22 most every Tuesday.

Still a strong shortage here. It's rare to see it on the shelves. I went the better part of a year having never once seen it on a Wal-Mart shelf, and I would check often.
I bought 5 bricks of fed 325 ct auto match last week and a brick of golden bullets this morning. My academy sports had about 30 bricks on the shelf today
I hear they constricted shipments to the northern states and directed it all to Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.....
I still can't buy ammo online at decent prices (under 10c a round shipped), and locally there is none. So yeah, still a shortage.
Still a big shortage here...if you're lucky, you can find a brick at Sportsmans Warehouse if you walk in at the right time...

Checked Walmart, Ammo Brothers, and Bass Pro last week. Nada. Zip. Zero.
Walmart as usual doesn't have squat, and what they do have is overpriced. Ammo Bros? You'd think that'd be the place to go for ammo, right? Nope. They don't have much. Tiny selection. BLS has boatloads of ammo. Unfortunately no .22 |

I think when 22lr get back to about $20 per brick im buying at least 30K rounds

No, I don't think so. For the past 2 weeks, everywhere that sells ammo I've been to has had it in stock. This is just from today at Cabelas. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/E1derful/2015-04-23%2020.29.09_zpsuyeaogcm.jpg View Quote right click > save as > straight to the spank bank |

In the last month, I've bought 3525 rounds, and haven't paid more than 8 cents per round. I teach CCW classes, and figured that I'd better make hay while the sun is shining. I'm set for a while.
Wikiarms lets me know when the good deals come up on Midway, and I stumbled my way into a 1400 round bucket of bullets at Cabela's. |
I guess at those prices I don't really care. I mean I love me some 22s and shoot them probably any time I shoot something else but I have a decent supply and with Perfecta 9mm for $7/50 and 45 and .223 for $9/50 I guess I will just shoot my other stuff more.
I bought 10 boxes for federal auto match yesterday. 20 bucks a box, had 100 boxes in stock at a local gun store. Thought about wiping them out but figured I'd save some for others
I've been able to get it whenever I want it for .06 CPR for at least a month.
22 WMR however, still seems to be a bit dry. |
bullshit. There isn't a SINGLE box for sale at my local Cabelas, Walmarts, Bimarts, or anywhere else except the $50 bricks at gun shows.
It's slowly getting better but some places are still bone dry.

22lr is everywhere in dallas at random times. I also shoot through about 2 bricks a range trip and I only have a semi auto ruger 22/45

Sure they have it, but what are the prices?
I'm not going to pay 8-10 CPR for .22. fuck that. |
