We have a few colleges in our jurisdiction. A lot of 911 calls start out something like this:
"I'm like a communications major and I'm like near the parking lot or whatever in the building. There's like this thing in there going on." Communications major? Really? A thing is going on. You don't say? We've got 200 acres of parking lots and 4,500 students that commute, you're gonna have to narrow it down some... Even better are the professors that don't speak english well enough to communicate over a telephone. They are smart enough to lecture students but somehow still can't seem to stop locking their keys in their office twice a week. Then there's the big city (actual) gangsters that follow the students that bring an entirely different problem aside of the dope, theft, and guns. "Imma call da pole-eese, dae commin" about twenty times over again while I'm on the phone with them. Yeah, actually we're not coming yet because I have no idea where you are and you're making things worse. |
