Looking at the Warlock 2, but considering the Spectre 2 also.
What other cans in the under 400 range perform in the same ballpark and are user serviceable? |

I have the YHM Stinger and it is very quiet on my SR-22. I think it was $375.

My neighbor has a Mack Bros Lima. It is closer to $475 and all steel so it's kinda heavy, but that thing is stupid quiet.

Spectre 2 is definitely where it's at. Reasonably light weight, easy to clean, great support/CS, and pretty reasonably priced.

You've already got my opinion, but I'll say it again - specter 2

I have a Tactical Innovations TAC65 .22 can. Was my first and has treated me very well. Comes apart for cleaning and makes things nice and quiet.

I got a sparrow and been a great choice. Super user friendly for cleaning. Just one suggestion is don't wait too long between cleanings and it makes things so much easier

I'm waiting for approval on a Spectre II right now. I went with that one since it will be spending time on a 22 Hornet. Haven't shot it, but fit and finish seems to be very good.

I've got a Prodigy I bought 3 years ago and really like it. I've looked at the Sparrow's, they are sweet and if I had to do it over again I'd have no problem buying one of those.

I have no complaints with my 556 can from Huntertown Arms View Quote Neither did I until I had a small problem. Emailed them about 7-8 months ago and zero response. To add insult to injury, every once in a while I will get an email from them telling me they received my inquiry and they'll get back to me as soon as possible. There have been threads and threads from people with the same and more. It's not an aberration, its the way they operate. Fuck Huntertown Arms. |

Under 400... what?
Decibels? They all are. MM in length? not sure about that, I think in inches.... |

I'm going to go with an SLR Rifleworks Aero SS soon. has stainless steel baffles and is only $249. If it's made as well as their rails, it should be good to go.

I have a Sparrow SS, and if I did it again, I would probably go with the Spectre II, since the price has gone down on them with Silencer Shop. When I bought mine a year ago, they were pretty close in price. I like the monocore of the Sparrow, but I like greenbacks better.

OP - you understand the NEED for a serviceable (cleanable) 22 can; they literally fill up with lead/carbon over time if not cleaned.
Here is something I wish I'd understood before I bought a 22 can: -if it's for a pistol, you want the LIGHTEST can. That means aluminum construction, or Titanium/aluminum alloy. Be careful how you clean it. -if it's for a rifle, the weight won't be as noticeable so it really does not matter. Steel is fine and less sensitive to brutal cleaning methods. Most current cans are quiet and most come apart. Right now it is a competitive market. 41p will kill off much of the market when it's introduced later this year. And there won't be any outcry like with the greentip ban; the cavalry is not comming to save you from 41p. No one is. |

View Quote That goes without saying, and most current production 22 cans can be disassembled at this point. The main criteria to narrow them down should be materials and monocore versus stacked construction, for cleaning purposes. You need stainless if you're going to use certain chemicals, and stacked baffles are easier to clean in tumblers. Materials and design impact weight as well, though none of them are heavy. Differences in sound levels and "first round pop" are minor IMO. |

No one is. is 41p the atf restructuring trusts? if it is, kentucky recently passed a law requiring leo to sign off on all nfa paperwork within 15 days IIRC, unless they can show your a criminal etc. where before it was a " may " sign thing.. now its a "shall" sign thing. which is good, because im planning on starting up some nfa soon. should have a trust soon, but if the atf changes the trust thing, it might be worthless, and have to go thru chief leo etc. |

I already own a licensed investigation/security agency and we're incorporated but I went ahead with the F4 Trust anyway because I didn't want my son to have any problems inheriting it if I were to die young.
Cans are perfectly legal in OK, but out local LEO's believe in the "Department of Just-Us" but if you're a civilian citizen and don't have a CURRENT commission (not retired LEO) then you're just "little people" as far as they're concerned and you're not worthy of Constitutional Rights. "Hey Chief, lookie what I just got...yep, it's in your jurisdiction and BTW, FUCK YOU!" |
