What, is it some big secret now?

Good luck with your efforts - you'll have the nicest arms locker on your tiny deck of the Titanic.

Win, lose, or draw, at least some of us will not be accused of surrendering.

It started long before Obama. FDR Woodrow Wilson single-handedly sealed the fate of this country. FDR, LBJ and Obama just tossed a few more logs on.

Fixt.

Wilson was a meager amateur compared to FDR, at both expanding the size of the government and weakening the other branches.

I find his creating the Federal Reserve banking system as the start of the fire which the others mentioned above added "a few more logs" to. Consider the state of debt we now have thanks to TARP and QE. IMO, this has crumbled the foundation of our country. Obama has now possibly fundamentally changed the country beyond repair. Tough times loom ahead the average joe can't imagine.

ETA: I realize Bush signed TARP into law, but Obama took QE to a level that will have long reaching damage despite continuing reports of economic recovery from the White House..

What a load of bolshevik. Control the House, and you control the pursestrings if the USA. That is only true, though, if those leading the House know how to play hardball. The Rs have controlled the House since the 2010 elections. Here we are 1/4 of the way through 2015, and the House still hasn't figured out what power it has. Very impressive. Very. Boehner is a true goddam American hero.

Sorry to see that so many have been beaten down, and surrendered.  Pessimism is infectious, and NEVER accomplishes anything.  Being blindly optimistic is almost as bad.

If the growing number of investigations of Our Fine Young President--and His minions-- distract Him from His agenda, all the better.  One can hope.

Blind hope is almost bad as blind despair.

Some of you folks need to get hold of yourselves, and stop acting like you're whipped.  You're not, and the sooner you realize that, the better.  There's lots of work to be done, and NONE of it will be accomplished by pessimists.  Obama will not be in office for long, and there is a ton of reconstruction to be done to fix His work.

People who have already given up won't be in a position to help, let alone lead.

If the folks that fought for our Revolution thought the way that many in this thread seem to think, we would still be drinking toasts to Her Majesty.

We will need every person available to help re-build this country after He leaves office.  This means YOU.  Get over self-pity, and being beaten-up.  Shake it off!

I will leave you with a link to a speech that Winston Churchill made in early 1941, in the dark days for Britain, before the US had entered the War.  It shows a real MAN who refuses to give in:http://www.winstonchurchill.org/resources/speeches/1941-1945-war-leader/never-give-in.

Please read it; the whole speech is moving.  But for those unwilling to make the small effort to read the link, here's the nub of it:

"...  never give in, never give in, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

To all the boo hoo, "this will go nowhere" types...

If congress can keep the Kenyan tied up defending himself for the next two years, they will have earned their pay.

This is my take on it.  Besides, who knows what will come up?  Watergate started out as a "third-rate burglary".

Maybe the "...chickens coming home------to roost" that Our Fine Young President's very fine Pastor Wright spoke about will be Obama's birds.  Never can tell.

Let's be clear:  Anything that distracts--or diverts resources--from Our fine Young President's agenda is a good thing in itself.

I wonder if the Klintons, who claim to be victims of Obama staffer leaks, might not have some of their minions reveal some dirt on Our Fine Young President.

Stay tuned, and don't be so pessimistic.

No, that would hurt the (D) party, and that will never happen.  Commies always present a united front, they just kill each other behind closed doors.

Ya'll are all going to be disappointed if you think BHO is ever going to be held accountable for anything.  There are just too many people in the tank for him, including 99% of Congress.  Can you imagine Bush getting away with releasing Israel's nuke secrets?  BushCare?  Backroom unilateral deals with "Death to America" Iran?  He can do anything he wants, and he knows it.  We all know it.

If this were still a true Constitutional Republic, he'd have been removed already.  It's not, so he hasn't.

Wilson was a scum of the highest order.  He was the first truely Progressive President.  His use of propoganda was unprecedented in US history.  The same people he used were also used by Nazi Germany to sell their fucked up world view to their people.

He also started the whole powerful administrators actually setting the policies in their departments rather than actually following the law.

He pushed eugenics.

He re-segregated the federal government.

He is currently burning in Hell.

Since presidents have their AG in their hip pocket, I think this is a weakness in the FF's set up of the constitution.

I don't know the solution though.

ETA:  I bet the FF's wrestled with this one..........and couldn't come up with anything better than the AG had to be confirmed by the Senate.

Federal election campaigning.................not sure that would be good but worth a try I guess.

The reason I always think that is it becomes too political..........but after further thought............it is pretty much that way now anyways.  (Michigan does this.)

Holder wouldn't prosecute ANYONE in this Administration if they were guilty of first degree murder for god's sake IMHO.

I wish I could read the transcripts of the FF's when they were discussing the AG.........it would be interesting.

Personally, I'll give them credit if and when they start to make good on their promise to do something.........and not just bend over for the president and his commie friends in the congress. So far all we've heard are excuses, and blustering. I mean really to absolutely say that impeachment is off the table, to say that a shut down is off the table, to start whining about the democrats putting up blocks, is just pathetic. What the rinos fail to realize is that they do best when they stand together and are able to exhibit their distinction from the democrats. They are not very good buying votes the way dems do. They will never be able to out moderate the dems, out liberal the dems, out shout the dems, they have to be conservatives, conservatives that are steadfast in their convictions..........if they are able to do that then, and only then will I give them credit. But, in all reality with Boehner and McConnell in charge I have little faith anything at all is  going to get done, least of all making Obama's life miserable for two years. I wait for them to prove me wrong.

At least you have the potential for different parties in the two offices, instead of the AG simply being an arm of the Executive. I don't see how it could be any "worse."

Pretty much this.  But if it does lead to charges and his removal from office this will be my shocked face.

And I believe he would have even been worse if he didn't get sick at the end.

Why did the American public vote him in...........what was his attraction at that time?

I mean, he was so liberal that even Michigan didn't vote for him the first time.

And I believe he would have even been worse if he didn't get sick at the end.

That is something I have not studied to have a definitive answer for, but it seems he ran on a "spread the wealth around" platform due to the Roaring 20's.  His tax and spend policies led to the Great Depression.

Since presidents have their AG in their hip pocket, I think this is a weakness in the FF's set up of the constitution.

I don't know the solution though.

ETA:  I bet the FF's wrestled with this one..........and couldn't come up with anything better than the AG had to be confirmed by the Senate.

Oh yeah, sure buddy. I'll get right on that. Any day now. Just put it on the pile with the rest. Real busy here, you know. Important justice stuff. You know the way out, right?

He is not the AG anymore...

Just say NO to crack.  He is AG.

If Senators were still representatives of the STATE and not of the people, they would have more of a vested interest in blocking Constitution raping pieces of excrement like Holder from EVER being in an appointed office, ket alone as AG.

REPEAL THE 17th AMENDMENT!!!

The first Progressive President, Theodore Roosevelt, split the Republican party, ran as the Progressive party (a/k/a Bull Moose party) candidate when he didn't get the nomination,  and handed the election to Wilson.

The war over control of the Republican party is much older than most people know.
