Suppose the laws in your area allowed you to either wear a handgun openly on your hip, or have your shirt hanging over. You can do whatever you please, as it suits you.
Which way would you commonly carry - open or concealed? |
|
Still CC.
Hell will be frozen over when they allow open carry in chicago |
|
I live in AZ, we have constitutional carry.
I do both but prefer open carry because in the summer it's much more comfortable. |
|
|
I carry concealed most of the time. My day to day clothing style is a tshirt tucked in, gun in either an IWB or OWB holster, then a polo over top.
Once I'm home for the night, the outer shirt gets taken off, and if I have to walk the dogs, run to the store for something I forgot, etc, I'm open carrying. |

we have open carry here no permit required I took the time and money to get a ccw permit because it is out of place to open carry at least in the city.
I would prefer to open carry it's not the laws it's the societal norms which make me choose not to |

mostly concealed. But not give fuck if its printing or if my shirt is riding up over it.

Concealed unless I'm at a range or hunting, or maybe camping/hiking.

Concealed; but I believe it should be my choice and open carry is my right.

I wish OC was socially acceptable because it is more comfortable. But it is not so I CC.

I have the option in my little corner of MO, at least in the areas I stick to, and I OC as soon as it is no longer jacket weather.
Went to Sam's today, in fact, and no one cared. |

I am just going by assessing the criminal's mindset. Can't be successful committing crimes if you don't control the guns in the area. |

In town, concealed.
Out in the sticks, open. True arfcom fashion.......Get both! |
|
Concealed but I don't have a problem with open carry. Honestly being allowed to carry open and concealed has advantages because should your pistol become uncovered you don't have to worry about being accused of or charged with brandishing.

I would prefer concealed when walking around, but I would prefer a chest rig when driving.

Open carry is for the foolhardy and attention hungry if not done on duty or in the back-country. Well I say that but the other day I saw a super old guy with a cane who could hardly walk get out of his pickup that was covered in anti Obama stickers, toting on his hip what looked to be like a 7 inch Super Blackhawk .44 or .45LC in a western cartridge belt rig and I loved it. The rest of you suck in your kilts and cargos though.

What's this either / or, suppose law shit?
Viva AZ! We can do eet. Carry whatever way you feel like, 'cuz, 'Murica. I still carry concealed because: Why would I want to advertise? It makes the sheep uncomfortable. |

We can do both here, and I prefer concealed. View Quote Same. If for no other reason than it doesn't scare the sheep, and I have, on occasion, OCed. Guess it depends on my personal perception of the threat level... Normal - concealed; Tense - OC pistol; Oh Shit - AR and armor come out. |
