If ice can be provided, and the site isint 14 miles of the road... I brought 8 liters of normasaline to west and only used one. Thermoregulation is treatable. If waivers exist and peeps bring more IV sets, everybody can get one as far as I'm concerned. We had a DOC, a nurse and my happy ass there; and an O2 tank and a spineboard. Nobody dethermoregulates on my watch. Unlike OG, I am only four miles from a hospital. Unfortunately, however, if you show up with a broken toe you will probably leave with an amputated arm. And hepatitis. My swamp has eaten everything that has tried to traverse it except for one jeep. Only one. http://s2.postimg.org/j9oas93hl/image.jpg So if you rent a jeep... Thermoregulation had nothing on the Bar of Bad Decisions. No one was permanently blinded by the Paki whiskey, or what ever the other stuff was. So that's a plus, right? My favorite was the third stop. "Plum brandy, this stuff is great!" Lies, all lies. None of that was fit to drink. My mission for next year or Texas is to find even more obscure, awful booze to foist upon the trusting masses. "Stop throwing your cups in the fire." "Stop pouring piss into our fucking cups." I've worked from can to can't in MS heat and think it would be fun during the day, but I've also camped in 90 degree summer nights and that sucks!! Hard to sleep with sweat pouring out constantly, it can be done, but someone will need to be on deodorant spray duty for breakfast. I've wore T-shirts at Christmas also so a 70 degree December is possible that far south, if mid west gets traction they will need a spot in the summer IMlowlyO. January would spread it out compared to the rest, and Texas would be one of the only places where Jan is doable in a tent for womez and chillrens. |
