I do not understand why there is a sub forum for beer brewing, cigars, vaping, shaving, and of all things......grooming and haberdashery,
but there is no sub forum for distilled spirits.

And this may get me ostracized from the whiskey community, and make my brothers to the north in Kentucky upset, but ..............

Gentleman Jack is the tastiest and smoothest whiskey on the market, and is superior to every top shelf bourbon I have tried!

I used to think that more sub-forums were never a bad thing, but it's starting to get a little out of hand.

The good news is that the mods don't send GD posts to relevant sub-forums.

I think you'd find an OK reception in either the "Cooking" or "The Humidor" subforums ... and of course, here in GD.

Unless you think Beam is good bourbon.

I would like a Bourbon/Libation Sub-forum; See what other members here drink and enjoy. Personally, I like jack Daniels Single Barrel, clean on a Whiskey Wedge, same with Woodford Reserve and Bulleit Rye; all drank the same way - neat on a Whiskey Wedge.

What's a Whiskey Wedge, you may ask?

How is it "neat" if it's on a wedge of ice?

Yes, I'd say a general liquor aficionado forum if anything.

Well....it is.

If you want to be all high fallutin, then go with Scotch or Irish whiskey for the taste.  Bourbon or TN whiskey is meant to be mixed with Coke, in a 50-50 mixture for the single purpose of gittin dronk

and proud of it.

I have a bottle of that swill on my shelf right now that I'll never finish. Bought it after reading a post JUST LIKE THIS ONE and became curious. Neva again. The only reason I haven't chucked the rest of it is because I am averse to throwing away money. Didn't get past the second pour before I went back to one of the tried and true bourbon labels.

I'm with the guy that commented if it wasn't for GD, I would have missed the OP to expand my libation horizons. GD really is already the de-facto bourbon subforum. Leave it be.

Might as well just have a "Vices" subforum and toss the electronic cigarettes and cigars under that heading.

Absolutely!

You send me whatever whiskey you think is superior to Gentleman Jack, and I guarantee you I will drink it and give it a fair review.

When I recommend Eagle Rare or Blantons, I always say if they don't like it, bring me the unfinished bottle and I'll buy it from them at full price.

Never had to buy a bottle back.

Eagle Rare is my favorite and a go to when it's available. If not that, Woodford Reserve, followed by Blantons/W.L.Weller/Elmer T Lee after that, it's makers, Knob creek, Etc..

I really want to try some of the Weller 12 year old.

I have tried most of the other top shelf bourbons mentioned.

I was thinking about this a lot this morning. What if...

We combine The Humidor and Vaping subs into 1 sub called The Smoking Lounge™ and then renamed the Home Brewing sub to Booze™?

That would lower the number of sub-forums by 1. Having too many subs seems to be the major complaint from some those voting No.
