Lmfao at folks saying this is a pos vehicle and they'd rather own a range rover or loaded jeep gc. Obviously have not owned all 3.....

4runner is still imported.
I would have bought a LC if it was more affordable,. |

What is it with this outrageously high prices for SUVs and pick ups these days? Hell for the price of some of these vehicles you can damn near get a very top of the line European luxury car.
Since when does a family SUV cost 3/4 of a starter home? |

Had to sell my FJ-40 a few years ago when we needed cash. That was a great rig. I spent hours bringing it back to life. I will have a Landcruiser again someday. |

Again, bang for buck the range rover sport will be a better vehicle especially the new ones. Off road wise, buy a Rubi. |

I wish they would make retro styled one...
They would sell out in hours. I guess I will stick with my Tacoma's and 4Runner for now. Might buy a Tundra in a few years though. |

Why does a top of the lime euro luxocar have such horrendous depreciation and maintenance costs if it's ''built so well?" If you look at vehicle problems and customer satisfaction over the long haul and mileage, the Land Cruiser absolutely crushes pretty much all other comers. |

If an 80k Land Cruiser isn't your thing, you can go buy a 60k F150.
I'm just glad they still make Land Cruisers - maybe in 10 years I can afford a '14. The list of overpriced vehicles that people buy that I 'just don't get' is very long. But Cruisers aren't on it. |

My 2007 Land Cruiser has 125k on it. Other than tires, plugs, filters, and oil changes, it has been perfect.
Wait, I did need windshield wipers. |

They did a spiel on off road vehicle prep. One of the vehicles was a white Land Cruiser, with the roof rack tent. So for about 4 months now, I have been searching Craig's List looking for one that has not been totally ragged out or bubba-fied. Anyway...that is a nice truck/SUV you have there! Does anybody have an idea what they sticker priced for back in the 1980's? EDIT: here is that RECOIL magazine article: http://www.recoilweb.com/preview-offroad-101-50969.html |

Toyota Celebrates 30 Years of "Land Cruiser 70" Series
Special Editions, "70" Series Re-release Commemorate Toyota's Longest-running Nameplate Toyota City, Japan, August 25, 2014 Over the 30 years since its launch, the "Land Cruiser 70" a milestone model of Toyota's longest-running nameplate has gained devoted fans worldwide. Sales in Japan ended in 2004, but to respond to widespread domestic requests for its return to sale and to commemorate its 30th anniversary, Toyota is re-releasing the Land Cruiser 70 in Japan for roughly a year. Additionally, two special edition versions of current models will go on sale at dealers throughout Japan. The Land Cruiser 70, first launched in Japan in 1984, has heavy duty specifications adapted for off-road driving. The Land Cruiser 70 will go back on sale today at dealers throughout Japan, and Toyota expects to receive 200 orders a month for the one year period it will be sold. In addition to the four-door van model previously available, for the first time in Japan customers will also be able to choose a double-cab pickup truck. The Land Cruiser 70's ladder-frame construction gives it its legendary robustness and durability. These features are combined with a V6 4.0-liter engine and part-time four-wheel drive to reproduce the Land Cruiser's classic features, including its excellent drivability. The vehicle incorporates modern interior and exterior design elements and safety features to meet today's needs. For around $35,000, the Land Cruiser 70 will be hitting Japanese auto dealers this week and is being promoted as the company's toughest Land Cruiser model to date. The company will sell the vehicle for only one year and plans to manufacture around 200 vehicles monthly. See, the Japanese always get the good stuff. Here in America, we get the overbloated expensive Starbucks model for wealthy soccer moms. |

How do you like those mastercraft tires? I'm thinking about trying out a couple sets. I really enjoy these tires. Balance easily and ride smooth. I went with a 315/75-16 which measures very close to 35". My tire guy has a set on his F150 and he currently has 40k on them with very little wear. They are a bit noisy now that they're broken in but nothing uncommon to a M/T type tire. I would highly suggest them. |
