We should be as well armed as the people from whom we need to defend ourselves.

Hey Josh, Blow Me Asswipe.
How about some more common sense for your retarded ass: Show me some honest, no bullshit proof of how many officers have been engaged and hit in gunfights with A) AR15 pistols and B) loaded with 855. I bet the real number is near zero, even if you include Rifles. How much sense does it make to ban something based on the premise of something that has probably never happened and probably never will happen. Common sense ain't so common among your ilk is it, Josh. Again, Blow Me Cuntfuck. And for good measure - Fuck you Hussein. ETA: Have you ever tried to "conceal" a AR pistol? Yeah I didn't think so. |

I'm starting to think I need FBHO in my sigline...

The bottom line is that M855 does not have a "core consisting entirely of steel" and therefore the law does not apply. The ATF interpretation is against the law, and there is no legal justification for the ban. This is what needs to be stressed and used. The administration is again changing the narrative, breaking the law, and lying about it. There is a storm coming, and it is the worst storm this country has ever seen. View Quote I am at a point that I want to be standing up front of that storm, this shit is beyond infuriating. I mentioned it to my democratic mother, she said I was exaggerating and listening to Fox News too much, told her it has been months since I listened to that shit channel. I expect she will keep her head in the sand and follow our country down the shittube since she is pro-union. Damn I feel ashamed. |

The phrase "common sense" is used often when democrats try to hide the fact that they make no sense.

"We're going to ban all firearms, weapons, knives, pointy sticks. We're going to ship you via rail to camps. It's really just common sense." Everything's common sense. Doesn't the law on armor piercing ammo specifically state that it applies to handgun ammo only? ANY rifle round is going straight through soft body armor View Quote I think they lost, when they used the phrase common sense. Their argument is weak in this case and common sense is on our side with 855. |

you guys need to be aware that this is a carbon-copy of the tactic the Dems used in the late 80s/early 90s to get the first AWB passed. they use the public's lack of technical knowledge about guns and ammo against us and take advantage of scare words like armor piercing, assault rifle, etc.. all of their verbage is written for them by PR and marketing firms to have the most emotional impact on the typical American. havent you ever wondered how, instantaneously, the term 'common sense gun laws' became the refrain for all the gun banners?
here is a quote from one of the architects of the AWB from the late 80s: "Assault weapons—just like armor-piercing bullets, machine guns, and plastic firearms—are a new topic. The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons. In addition, few people can envision a practical use for these weapons." -Josh Sugarmann, "Assault Weapons and Accessories in America," 1988 |

One day we will have a different president.
The underlying beauracrcy that is pushing this will still be here. |

I have it on good authority from Arfcom GD that Obama had nothing to do with this ban.

So is the ammo ban a "hey look at me" thing to divert attention from something else? He is good at that.

“Millions upon millions of M855 rounds have been sold and used in the U.S., yet the ATF has not even alleged, much less offered evidence, that even one such round has ever been fired from a handgun at a police officer” View Quote Seems like there should be some rule. Like Godwin's Law, the first person that invokes "common sense" as a justification for a government policy automatically loses, and the policy supported by that euphemism is automatically rejected. |

The tech branch is bad enough. The WH spokespeople and the president do not know the first thing about guns, bullets or armor. They could not tell you the definition of a handgun; they could not tell you anything about what kind of armor is commonly used. None of this stops them from declaring their opinion to be "common sense."

They need to start using a new word when they are fucking us. Anytime I hear common sense my butthole clinches. It's Pavlovian at this point. View Quote Agreed. Any time I hear "common sense", I know that actual common sense has nothing to do with it, and it really means "You should agree with my feelings, even though I am too lazy to back them up with anything substantive..." |
|
we all knew this was going to happen.
we knew that they would come for the guns, that would fail miserably and then they would come for the ammo. you can have all the guns you want, but if it costs $100 per bullet or you cant even buy the bullet, then you don't need to get the guns. |

How does "common sense" even enter into a question that is basically science? M855 is no more lethal to LE at typical engagement ranges than M193. For whatever reason the military decided they needed it for their LMG's for increased penetration at extended ranges, and now we use the extra for practice ammo.
