I'm 35 and starting to develop a slight bald spot on top. I don't typically wear a hat unless hunting, fishing, or at the range, but I think I need to start wearing one more frequently. I lost my usual hat flying out the back of the boat last fall. I think I may choose a gun related company. I don't want to make myself a target by wearing a well known company to the masses like Colt, S&W, etc. I also don't want to wear something from a company I will probably never own due to me not being "tier 1" enough and not being able to afford it anyways (KAC, LaRue, etc).
I am building my first SBR, using some Bravo Co components, already have an Eotech, a number of Primary Arms and Magpul products. So who should I brand myself with to not look like a complete jackass? I'm leaning towards Bravo Co. Guide me GD. |

I like BCM, Larue, Noveske, Magpul, and Glock hats.
I'm wearing a BCM hat today, seriously thinking about a new Larue hat today..... |

I don't understand the logic. I though hats were worse for your hair, not better.

Am I the only one who doesn't like to advertise the fact that I own guns, if for any other reason than to keep my truck or house from being attractive to those who want to steal them?

I've heard the same thing too. Don't care really. It is falling out regardless, and I rarely wore hats anyways. Might as well cover it up. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I don't know about brand, but you should definitely wear it with a flat bill cocked off to one side.

Why wear anyone's logo on your noggin?
You are a walking billboard for the company when you wear their logo whether it be shirts, jeans, headbands, hats, etc. THEY should be paying you for advertising for them. |

View Quote Nope, not the only one... I have never put a gun related sticker on my house/car. I really only wear gun hats when I go out shooting... |

View Quote This is kinda why I want to avoid the S&W and Colt type companies. I figure that most people who know who BCM, Laure, etc is, aren't USUALLY going to be the type to steal. The average criminal probably doesn't know who these companies are. |

much respect to Mark Larue - but I have to have a full brim hat these days. Very sensitive to the sun....so gave all my larue caps to my kids, they love them. But I am left a broken man.... |

You don't want to look like a jackass, yet want to wear a tactical brand hat?
Impossible. Wear a hat with a sports team or something that doesn't scream "I have a gun". |
|
Modern Musket
Wearing my multicam one right now, just like most days. I rotate between it and a LaRue hat. http://www.shop.modernmusket.com/Rifle-Logo-Cap-MMCAP.htm |

Might as well cover it up. Shave your head, that is my answer then. I wear an old Budweiser hat I won in a pool tournament. I liked the way it fit so I cut out most of the embroidery so it wasn't a beer hat anymore. One must own his hat, not have it chosen for him. |

I had to Google what those were. Why is that a thing? I've never had a problem with sunglasses touching my hat. |

Why not just get a hero hat? Then you can change it up every day!

Get a Bolt Face Logo cap from the Arfcom Online Store. Sheesh.
|

I wear multi cam new era caps. They're the only ones I could find fitted for an 8.5 size. They are blank.
|

I try to avoid wearing anything gun related. I usually wear a Titleist hat since I also enjoy playing golf.
|

Sweet Jeebus, take me know, I've seen everything! LOL |

With a name like that, should be Rapala or Berkely or something.

I don't like to advertise for any company or cause on my person, hard not to though since branding is such a viable marketing tool. A small logo I can deal with but huge lettering is a turn off for me.
As for the thread title, it should read " I need a new cap" if that is what you are looking for. Hats are for us old men. |

Craft International. Its the company Chris Kyle helped start and the hats have that great Punisher logo with the crosshairs over the right eye. Very cool looking hat
|
|
I either wear my cubs hat or my noveske hat. And when it comes to beanies, I just wear my IATSE beanie if I'm working outside.
|
|
I don't advertise my gun owning status, especially in the area I live. My Trijicon hat was perfect. The average joe wouldn't know what that is, only those that know something about guns.

BCM trucker hat that I received with a purchase of an upper is my go to hat right now. I don't care to wear "typical" firearms related clothing. Most gun owners will have no clue what the hat that I'm wearing means.

I had a Larue hat once and someone stole it...
I liked that hat as it fit my giant head well. |

Whoever offers a flxfit hat is the one to get .... all other hats suck ass
