The deputy leader of right-wing populist party Alternative for Germany
(AfD) said on Wednesday that all migration from Arab countries should be stopped. "We should no longer support immigration by people who are totally foreign to our cultural tradition, in fact we ought to block it," Alexander Gauland told Berlin's Tagesspiegel newspaper. We have freedom of religion and Islam demands that we convert or die so it would appear to be at odds with our culture too. Kind of a quandary when they're free to practice Islam though it demands infringing on our right to freedom of religion.

It is a little different for Germany than for us when it comes to the Auslander issue. Being born in Germany does not convey citizenship unless your parents are German.
