this thread promises to be at least a couple pages of apathy concerning the biggest sports event of the year. I love it. Hell, I have not been excited by organized sports since I played HS sports over 40 years ago.

Recorded bull riding last night. I'll watch that instead.

Looking forward to THIS. The one last year was fantastic.

I'm gonna change my oil, tidy my garage and tinker with a few rifles. I'll probably have the game on in the background but I really don't care about it.

FNA That is what I'm going to do.
Soon as I verify that it will be nice enough. As in the wind blowing under 20mph.  Lets see, the roof on the trailer isn't making sounds.  Yep the wind is down.
No body to intrude into my shooting space.  Wooohoo.  Wait, that is usually the case anyway.

Taking the kiddos bowling & then to play laser tag, much more fun than watching a game on T.V.

I honestly don't care one way or the other.  My wife HATES football  so that pretty much ends the discussion of watch or don't.   It'll be puppy bowl or nothing for my house today.

Hmmm... Sit around watching overpaid post adolescents play a game or spend time with the family teaching physical activity and self reliance.

Not a hard choice.

OK, I'm jealous    I did some engine work and maintenance upgrades on my Wide Glide earlier this winter, she's sleeping on her lift under her cover, warm in the garage waiting for spring to return, then I can make some miles on my Glide... enjoy your ride!

This. I could see getting excited about actually playing the game. But to sit down for four hours and foam at the mouth about adults throwing a ball around? Bread and circuses. Followed up some American Idol!

It's not that I have any animosity toward either team or the superbowl in general, I just don't care enough to stay up and watch.

I suspect that most people watching the game today, like myself, aren't that invested in it.  They will, however, be spending time with friends, eating and drinking together, and generally enjoying the social event for what it is.

Now, if it were the Bengals playing today, I'd be a much more interested in the actual game.

Zero interest in football It's all I can do to sit through a game the kids are playing. I think I'll head on up the mountain.

I know that phoenix team is playing, as phoenix is pretty much shut down with super bowl stuff, but I could not tell you who the other team is.

Taking the trail buggy out and maybe cook out in the middle of the painted desert today.  I don't think the super bowl can beat that.

If I wanted to watch grown men play with balls I would watch gay porn, I am not gay...... so I don't. In all seriousness, I have never been into sports like football, basketball, baseball,  etc. I like stuff like shooting, guns, cars, rock music, 4 wheelers etc. To each his own.... I find it strange how some guys obsess over these idiots who get paid millions for playing a fucking game while there are veterans coming home struggling to makes ends meet! Fucking ridiculous!

Just wanting to see what the rest of us are doing. Currently sipping some good coffee after sleeping in. Kids are playing in the other room. Browsing the net, life is good.

Think of it as grade school; they're establishing their "in-group," and letting you know you're not a part of it. You simply can't hang out with the cool kids unless you're a football fan. Personally, I have some errands to run and some shopping to do before it's over and all the drunks hit the road. For the time being they're all congregated in bars, clubs, and living rooms, making my day out and about much less harried.

I hate any sport with a ball.

Give me sports that involve an engine or tires, that doesnt spend 90% of a race turning left, and I am happy.

Nascar/Indy on road courses I will watch.  Otherwise I watch rally, tudor, aussie supercar, stadium events, GT, anything with an engine.

For personal sports, I will no shit watch curling before any popular sport with a ball.   Track/swimming is more interesting, actual racing and direct competition with ones personal bests...

Speaking of women, today is a good day to go to the mall and check out all the womenz that are shopping because their husbands/boyfriends are glued to the TV getting drunk.

I don't watch the Nasty Felon League - haven't watched it in years.  I understand it's good for the economy, to a certain extent, so I try to refrain from making my friends and family fee stupid for watching it, but you won't catch me wasting my time watching those overpaid childish idiots.  Taking a nap seems a better use of time to me.  I expect we'll go out to a nice restaurant that does not have TVs, and enjoy a nice meal.

Ringing steel at 200 yards today. May turn it on later. Frankly I don't give a wet fart about foosball. However, all the other guys where I work talk about nothing else.

I love watching GOOD football, but all the bullshit time outs and commercials really make me hate the game, so tomorrow I'll watch the highlights and get my fix.

Tonight I will probably get some shit taken care of around the house.

I might go shooting late this afternoon, the ranges are fucking empty on Superbowl Sunday

I am with you.

Football is barely played with all the air time it gets, WSJ posted a study..there is like only 8-11 minutes of actual game play. The rest is talk, reruns and camera shots of guys standing around on the sidelines.

Murders, rapists, ghetto thugs who smack women around and men who act like they have saved the world after each and every play with men wearing jersey's of other men cheering them on idolizing them. Team owners worth millions of dollars who pay their players millions of dollars in and industry worth billions get hand tax payer funded handouts...

Football has no place in my home. The NFL shines a light so bright on what is so wrong in our country.

I am working today, my son just got done with his district playoff games for Hockey. Wife will get a fire going, nice meal made for the kids and they'll watch a movie or board game it.
