Cos he was sure quick to hit the "you and your privilege" button, but... was he actually TRYING to find work and more than just a street corner? But at the same time, I can see where this "experiment" can be humiliating too. Cos technically the handout wasn't "free" - it had a cost to the homeless man, one that he apparently wasn't willing to accept. But yes, again if he wants better there are ways to get there. They just take effort and work. |
