  or.....seriously : Black Sails is of the few shows on that I like and anxious to see the start of Season TWO in just a couple days . But just now noticed the series was renewed for a Third Season . . .  http://www.kpopstarz.com/articles/163767/20150114/black-sails-season-2.htm Black Sails was a big show that made a little splash in this past year. Now Starz has already greenlit season 3 before season 2 has even aired. Billed as 'Not your parent's pirate show' Black Sails has all the titular sex and violence one may expect, but manages to build real and compelling characters that make this a show truly worth watching. Season 1 ended on a massive cliff hanger, here is what to expect for season 2. I dont see the show mentioned much at all around here . . . is it another show that most of Arfcom hates ?  |

Yes these two HOTTIES above are the best.
 
Best original show I've seen in a long time! Lots of 'booty' and 'cooty' 'other stuff' In fact this thread should be pinned and be converted to the Official "Black Sails" Season Three Thread |

I've been meaning to check it out, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
That a show about piracy in the age of sail has regular female cast members is probably not a mark in its favor as to not being contrived, as said above though.... If they feel the need to add gratuitous eye candy, that doesn't often speak well for the other qualities of the show. |

it started off strong with lots of bush and violence, then slowed down towards the end of the deason.
I'll watch the first couple new ones and either continue or drop it. lots of nice teeth in it, which really doesn't add up. |

First episode of season 2 is already up on Comcast On Demand. I thought it was a good start to the season.
Anne Bonny is my favorite
 I hope Billy shows back up, I assume he isn't really dead. |

Maybe if Starz doesn't fuck the dog and hold back from releasing season 2 for purchase, make it impossible to tell when it is planned to release, spam up the offerings with 100 "episode 0s" that nobody gives a fuck about, it'll make a bigger splash.

Never would have been part of their daily life. BTW ....Love the show, very well done, good writing, likeable characters, great acting, and gorgeous women who love to take their cloths off. Can't wait for season two to begin. |

I think the budget hurt season 1. Costs a lot to make good ship battle scenes out in the ocean. Two people arguing on an indoor set is cheap. Hopefully they've got more budget this season.

I have season 1 on Blue Ray. It was too damn short though.
I hope the next 2 seasons have more episodes in them. I liked Spartacus. But would have liked less male nudity! 
As far as the sex, it's not like they showed anything. Hell Rome was the same way. And that was a great series. |

To make their teeth look real would also make them look less attractive to a modern day audience. I mean you may have a hot chick with a great body but if she is missing a few of her teeth then she would be that appealing, would she? When it comes to teeth in movies you just have to suspend belief. Notice also in the picture above the chick has shaved legs. I doubt that was done much a few hundred years ago. |

I plan on catching up with it. I watched the first few episodes of season one, but it was too soon after Spartacus.
No Starz show can withstand comparison, even if it isn't fair to compare the two.
