I watched this show last week and have been trying to get others to watch it too. I hope it becomes a complete series.

Go read the original novel.
I know who the man in the high castle is/was supposed to be. Hint: said man wrote a book that became a movie about killing bugs. |
|
Great novella.

Just watched the pilot. Holy shit was it BORING. View Quote The story wasn't at all the war story you would think. It was more dystopian sci-fi with a partially occupied US as the setting and the machinations of a post-Hitler Third Reich as the backdrop. |

If you want it to become a show take the survey here

View Quote Dick didn't like Heinlien's writing or themes, but Heinlein, who had never met him, called dick when dick was sick to try to cheer him up. He offered to give Dick an electric typewriter and later paid off dick's back taxes to the Irs.

Some prisons are bing closed, changing the sentencing for crack is part of it View Quote With the Prince wanting to shift the juvenile age upwards to 18 some of those adult prisons he wants to close will doubtless be re-purposed as juvenile facilities. I've often wondered what the world would be like if Hitler had won. How long it would be before his attack on the USA would have started. In today's environment with zero in charge, I almost think he could take us. Hell, a dozen terrorists have wiped away much freedom we used to enjoy... ah, the good old days - not that very long ago.
Anyone notice France just tossed up the possibility of a Patriot Act and it was stomped from the start... "we don't want to end up like the USA" - but imagine that in french words with a french accent. And we say they surrender - nope, we've surrendered and the french fight on. |
