It is at times like these I'm glad PSA is just across the road.

FN barrels? CHF please....probably not i bet That would be a terrible waste of good barrel blanks.... It's just an AK. It would be the smartest move they could do to stand out from the pack Seeing as how there are no US made CHF AK barrels. |

Smart move by PSA.
There are no reasonably priced AKs since Obama was elected. You used to get the Romanian AKs for under $400. Now they are all up in price. AKs make good bump fire guns. I liked shooting my Yugo under folder at crap. |

PSA is one company that will never see any of my money.
I don't buy second rate shit, just because it's cheap.! |

I'll just have to wait and see the reviews and range reports from the membership here.

I think I may have found just the AK to make my PAKI-MADE clone from.

If cheap and reliable enough, I could see getting one and have it roll around the Magpul website. I must've been lucky and got one of the good WW AK74's and don't want to jinx it by swapping parts on it. And, the I.O.'s, Century-builds, and Polish (non-Radom) have had enough issues to make me wary. But, I don't need an Arsenal for the project.

They are. A lot of people in this site think reading is for faggots, so they order from PSA fully knowing that PSA can ship slowly. Then they'll bitch because they don't have their $5.99 AR mags by the next week. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I like PSA but they struggle at putting together ARs. Maybe I'm just out of the loop but I thought PSA AR's were generally gtg (aside from the PTAC stuff). They are. A lot of people in this site think reading is for faggots, so they order from PSA fully knowing that PSA can ship slowly. Then they'll bitch because they don't have their $5.99 AR mags by the next week. Right, until a week turns into a month, and a month turns into never ship you anything at all. Ask me how I know. They are johnny on the fucking spot taking your money the minute you click to order though. Not too swift to return it though when they fuck up. They cant even handle what they have on their plates, why dont they try and fix themselves before trying to fuck something else up? Fuck PSA. |

C'mon y'all, you don't seriously think PSA is actually making these rifles themselves do you? That rifle in the pic looks identical to an I.O., which is a shit rifle made in the USA as they advertise. IO I know a lot of people have had bad luck with IO. My Hellpup has been perfect so far. |

The WASR I bought at a gun show 4 years ago had extremely tight tolerances on the magwell. By that I mean I had to take a file to it to get any of the 10 assorted mags I had to fit. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

New WASRs are very good. Straight sights and no mag wobble. That's the problem, they're wildly inconsistent. I've seen them so loose that you could twist the mag and it would pop out, and I've also seen them so tight that the owner had to file it to get the magazine that came with the gun in. Century may have made improvements recently, but in the past they've shown that they don't give a fuck about the customer. Between shit AK jobs, fucked up FALs, grinding the bolts on CETMEs in order to get them to fit. If they'll do that kind of shit, why should we ever trust them again? |

Its a fact that those $600 WASRs have increased in quality. A collegue of mine picked on up a few weeks ago. PSA's poor quality control, coupled with the already shakey quality of AKs in general, AND their slow shipping times, make the WASR a safe bet at thiks point in time. Aaaaand your other options are a $600 WASR that's been buttfucked by a drunken monkey at Century, or a $1,200 Arsenal. There's a distinct lack of economical, good quality AKs in the market. If PSA can do to AKs what they did with ARs, we all win. Show us on the doll where PSA touched you. Its a fact that those $600 WASRs have increased in quality.
