Arggghhhh!!!!! Williams should have let Bottas pass. Threw away the chance to win.

Poor strategy from Williams. They should have pitted Bottas before Hamilton.

I respect Williams for not asking Massa to let Bottas through, even if it cost them the win.

What a race. For sure one to not miss.
Hamilton with a well fought win, Nico as well. Williams just tossing out their gift. Vettel making something of a not great first half a race. I think the real loser was Bottas being told to not pass, paired with Williams strategy and Massa's poor pit. Well EARNED race for Mercedes. |

Despite yet another Mercedes 1, 2, a great race for sure. As plumber said, they earned this one. Vettel did a great job in the rain, as usual.
Alonso got a point! Who would have ever thought that would be noteworthy? I feel bad for Williams. What could have been... Eta: My guy Raikkonen continues to show he just doesn't have it any more... |

REMINDERS
There is not a German Grand Prix this year (dumb, I know). One of the schedules in my first post still has It listed, but it's not happening. The next race is the Hungarian GP (one of my favorites) which is the LAST race before the summer break After Hungary the first 1/2 season winner gets a BFL sticker in the color of their choice, so remember to make your fantasy picks for the next race! |

I loved the shot just after it started to rain hard of the Ferrari, power down, in a four wheel power slide with the opposite lock in.
The British fans love there German cars. I suspect the folks at RAF Silverstone 75 years ago wouldn't like to hear Brits cheering Mercedes. |
|
I would love to join that crowd at Silverstone.
There, Le Mans, and Monza, so awesome when they get on track after the race. |
|
Great race, good on Ferrari and Seb for capitalizing! Watching seb rain dance is always incredible.

Pretty good race, too bad Williams couldn't pull it off.
I'm watching Monza 2011 right now, it seems to be better racing. Not sure if it's higher downforce allowing the cars to run closer together or if it's simply because they look and sound more aggressive. |
|
We now know Williams' drivers can hang. Just need the pit wall to up their game.

That was an interesting race.
Can't believe Williams with team orders. What the hell! Should have let Bottas go and possibly have gotten a gap that would have turned into a win. I think if I were Rakkinen I'd be asking where my new contract is. Out qualified Vettel and pretty much outraced him just to be made the inter experiment. |

Which brings me to the issue of Massa. Why does F1 in general treat him like a special needs driver who's fragile psyche warrants considerations? |

He probably had the worst accident that anyone has lived through since Lauda was burned all to hell. |

Come on guys, we all knew it was going to be Merc 1/2 again... regardless of the good start by Williams.
The only real surprise was Seb's third. And fucking Riakkonen can't seem to catch a break. It's easy to point out he made the wrong call, but if that rain had come in three mins earlier he'd have been on the podium.Hindsight 20/20. |
