To me, the funniest thing about Mythbusters is that after all those years, Jamie Hyneman is still a terrible actor. Adam is a natural on camera, and the others improved over the years. But Jamie is still stiff as a board

I was under the impression that the non marquee stars on Discovery's "reality" shows get paid jack shit.
The cast on a show like Mythbusters (outside of Adam and Jamie) are probably don't make much from it, nor can they probably use the name of the show to do endorsements. Wonder if they are employees of Adam and Jamie (their SFX business) or talent brought in and employed by Discovery? That really would suck, being famous to the point where it is annoying but without the ability to capitalize on it financially. ETA: One of the firearms guys on the show is a member here. Haven't seen him post in a while but he used to have a lot of details of how the show went together. |

As easy on the eyes as Kerri is the show will be better without her. Those three are as dumb as a sack of hammers and their segments were almost as retarded as sons of guns. If you want to watch dumb good looking chicks turn on a reality show.

The show was better before they tried to shoe-horn in some boobs to increase the general male viewership, instead of who the show was originally geared towards: geeks, scientifically-minded folks, engineers, tinkerers, those seeking knowledge, and similar. The other two guys tried to increase the Jackass viewers, and really lead to the show's overall decline. Hopefully this reboot will avoid stupid politics. |
