You should try railin' on soul night ! Where there is about 200 - 300 people on the floor and only 3 honkies on it !
I'll tell you what .... If your railin' there is one thing you do not want to do is FALL DOWN ! Cause you will have about 20 people wipeout with you ! And yes I'm talkin' back in the 70's ...... I used to be a instructor - guard ... Ahhhhh ...... Good times ! |

I played a lot of roller hockey as a kid so on the weekends me and my buddies went to "Skate City" the local indoor skate rink. Some wore rollerskates but it was mostly rollerblades as this was early 1990s. This is the only song that I can remember being played EVERY DAMN TIME I was there. http://youtu.be/DNPjeIamsck View Quote Finally . . . someone my age. My roller skating days were 93-95 and "quads" were definitely NOT cool. All the cool kids had rollerblades on skate night and quads meant your parents were too cheap so you had to rent the $1 quads. Ace of Base was huge along with Real McCoy's "Another Night". Ironically enough I would have to rate at the top of my modern "skate songs" Nelly Furtado's "Do it". Both "Do It" and "Another Night" completely rip-offed another artist's work with zero credit. 120-130bpm is the golden range . . . |

The memories came right back! After 8pm they would turn the lights off and turn on the neon and strobe lights. That's when we all tried to build up the courage to ask the cute girls to "dance" during the slow songs. What a goober I was back then. |
