Problem is the connecting part. Contact hits are good, but distance shots are purely in the realm of luck. That tank desperately needs a buff in the accuracy department, hell the entire game does to tell the truth. But the IS5 is the worst offender of horrible accuracy. What's particularly troublesome is that the damned thing shoots APCR as its standard round, which ordinarily would be great, but since you're, honestly, shooting a 20 gauge slug out of a 12 gauge barrel, you can't pick apart enemies or shoot specifically for weak spots, and that leads to you throwing gold at them in frustration, which you'll probably miss with anyway. 
All that said, it is probably going to be the best tier 8 prize tank out of all of them unless the KV4tress is the shit and a bowl of piss. Of all the prize tanks I have... T23e3 - fun in on tier battles, but is nigh worthless down a tier. Needs 7-7 tiering because it just doesn't have enough gun.. KV220 - Corny but fun. Obj907 - This one is a hoot. Hands down worth every moment spent screwing around in a campaign. It's a prize tank that is regularly seen in CW. That says a lot. IS5 - See above - An accuracy buff would bring this inline with everything else and make it not nearly unplayable. KV5 - It's a KV5 T95/Chieftain - Basically a Pershing with a tumor that everyone shoots at. T95e2 - Another Pershing but this time without interesting armor that the M48 has and HEAT as gold. It's got *THE* turret off the M48 but less armor which makes no sense. Needs the full turret stats of the M48. T95e6 - Imagine a slow AMX30B with the T110E5's gun and slightly better but still laughable armor. Needs APCR as standard or be about 50% faster and it might be playable. |

So I get destroyed by a PZ 38H today and thought hmmm, haven't seen one of those yet. (own one in Blitz, troll armor can be fun on rare occasions.
Checked the guys stats post battle and out of 53,000+ battles 34,000 are in the PZ 38H. How the hell can you enjoy driving that super slow tank that much?!? |

I really am at a loss for what the fuck is going on today. The teams are bad, as is expected. But it's something else. Arty rounds literally flying outside the post code they're aimed into. My T110E3 bounced THREE rounds off the machine gun port of a 4502B that was facehugging me. My M4A3E2 derp gun hit a Cromwell with HE for 0 damage in the side.
Some shit is seriously fucked today, and it ain't the windowlicking players. |

His name was panzermarine300 or something like that, I looked at his stats too and 34k of his battles were in that tank. Of course any other tank he has 44% win rates in but like 60% in that Pz. I was in my T-80 and couldn't pen anywhere with gold, even at the back of the hull and turret |

Some weirdness about being instantly shot by tanks facing another direction - then when I hit them (which bounces) they instantly turn and fire with a penetrating hit. I play a lot of TDs and I know how to be invisible. Enemy tank shouldn't have spotted me before my shot went out. |

You're just not hiding enough, and if you are in a Russian heavy, you shouldnt be, and if you are anyway, you're not doing it right. Russian heavies are meant to be right up in the face of other heavies trading shots. Deadeye rocks, and I'd take that over camo on your gunner. Designated target is a scout function, but I guess I could see the benefit of having someone spotted a little longer. I'd rather have snap shot, however, especially on a Russian heavy that probably has terrible gun handling anyway. And for God's sakes, get safe stowage!!! Since you have all those interesting skills, you might want to think about the survivor trifecta. Sixth sense, safe stowage, preventative maintenance. You won't get racked nearly as often, and this counts towards your rack taking a hit, but not being under 50% module HP so you're not racked into slow reload, you won't catch fire nearly as often, and since you have firefighting on all your guys like you do, fires will go out fast. Lastly sixth sense is the single most important skill in the game. |

I may only do like 200HP per shot but its almost always a crew or module killer, which is good for lolz. I like this tank

Seemed some smaller groups and some very large groups doing it. Usually there seemed to be a 'do not shoot' the solo people order or general feel going on - I'm guessing to either not allow us to get specific goals (like damage blocked or something), or not to anger too many of us into reporting. All the tanks sitting in the middle sure were easy to rack-up damage on if it was a damage mission I had going, that's for sure. I was never going to earn the tank since I wasn't 'in' on the rigging, but I believe I did earn some Silver coins (give or take, but I think I ended up ahead after doing all the battles / missions I could do with the amount of time I had, and without having a clan - I can tell you that I never saw ARFcom guys in those matches - rigging it for me). |
